Jesus an the apostles went to places filled with people like Todd and miracles broke out. I don't agree with Benny Hinn either, I personally believe he is demonic as well but true Christians show up.

Does anyone know Bently's views on the Holy Spirit? I don't understand his fascination with angels. People can say Jesus, Jesus, Jesus all day but that deosn't make them on the up and up. All who condemn Todd Bentley instead of praying for him are tools of Satan. Children of God pray for each other and the lost; and even if TB was an enemy, Jesus said to pray for him ( see Matthew 5:43-48 ). Read what God says in James 5:15-16.

@avilakaj I'll give you a reference: it is in John 1:51. The bible has many instances of angels being sent and seen, whether there is a promise or not. They are ministering spirits, sent to minister to the heirs of salvation. Read Hebrews 1:14.

@Olieekay God does not command demons, so explain Revelation 16:8-9 to me. If TB believes and confesses Jesus as his Lord and Savior, he is a Christian, not a false prophet. Even Christians miss the mark, but God is able to keep us from false teachings and doctrines; as long as we stay in fellowship with Him, and keep His word in our heart. Pray for restoration for TB, not condemnation. If you and others condemn TB, you are allowing the devil to control you, not God.

@avilakaj I'll give you a reference: it is in John 1:51. The bible has many instances of angels being sent and seen, whether there is a promise or not. They are ministering spirits, sent to minister to the heirs of salvation. Read Hebrews 1:14.

I was told by a Catholic that they have other sources of truth than the bible, which is why they teach false doctrines. Mary is not a virgin since Jesus' birth ( Matthew 13:55-56 and Mark 15:40 ); you never pray to Mary or in her name ( John 16:23-24 ); and no baby can be baptized ( Acts 8:36-38 ). @dangerousdan71 My religion, as you call it, is the only true religion, because it is based on the word of God alone, not some man made religion. Islam has many charlatans as you claim Christianity does. That just means any religion can have those that dishonor God, and misrepresent the message. Your words apply to Islam as well as Christianity, but God will bring an end to Islam, and establish the kingdom of Jesus in the Millennium.

@dangerousdan71 Well, it is, according to the bible. Christianity is the only religion with Jesus as our Lord and Savior; and Jesus is the only way of salvation ( John 14:6 ). You are free to believe whatever you want, but your eternity rests on your decision.

@dangerousdan71 I have studied the bible, and have learned from well known bible teachers. You don't know the bible, because you twist it to mean something it doesn't say. I don't need to know much about the bible to still no far more than you. The reason I know more is because Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and I have received my revelation knowledge from the Holy Spirit, not from man.

@dangerousdan71 This is our main disagreement. You believe the Qu-ran ( given supposedly by an angel ), while I believe the bible, given by the Holy Spirit of God. See the difference? I receive my revelation and understanding from the One who made the angels, not an angel. Big difference.

He never seems to have a bible on that pulpit. He tells of his own stories about what he says to God & what God says to him but never uses the Bible to say what God speaks in His Holy Word. I guess this here is the great falling away that God spoke of in His Word

@immada1 No he did not have a bible but did read from Isaiah, because even durig that time the apostles have not written their accounts of scripture. No he did not have a pulpit either because he used a boat the synoguage etc. Wait a minute what is the motive 4 your response anyway, as if there was need 4 a reply. Where is the love in Todd Bentley? He committed adultery on his wife, divorced her, and married the (way younger) woman he committed adultery with. How is that loving? Jesus condemns this in Luke 16:18.
I do agree with you that love makes the difference and that legalism kills (if that's what you are referring to). I just don't see how I kill... Not pointing out sin or misconception in somebody's life (to warn others or the person him/herself) would be not loving!

False Prophet Bentley only brings deception and the way he praises angels as exhibited in this video should be a clear sign to a christian that he can't be trusted. The Devil and his demons are angels or did we forget that God cast them out of heaven and that the Devil can even appear as an ANGEL of light? False Prophet Bentley is very deceptive!

I would extend that thought further and say that any ministry anchored in negativity and defensiveness and spoken curses over ppl is an unfruitful ministry, regardless of our views on Todd. Lets encourage people to forgive Todd and just love on him, and quit spreading word curses upon him and his ministry. Now I don't condone his actions, but man....grace was freely given to us, why can the church freely give grace? Sorry, I didnt mean to bear this on you alone, just thinking aloud. Bless you!

@eburner3 i think what i was seeing was that the talk and "signs and wonders" kinds of stuff with his vision COULD connect with Col 2:18. I am not saying he had to be... 'worshiping' the angel. the kinds of visions and claims made by Todd are sadly undermined by his life aside from the visions and anointing stuff. if he has gifts of the spirit, what about the gifts of love and self control etc, that would have been well applied to his former wife?

@alastairblakepeters No one but TB, God, and TB's wife know the whole story behind their divorce. Yes, TB should have restrained himself, but when you get thrust to the top of a ministry, the attacks are on a higher scale. Satan takes notice, and releases a greater demonic attack to take you out. I do truly believe the Lakeland revival brought many into the kingdom, and many healings were received. Yes, adultery is always wrong, but it is forgivable, and then he must go on.

@WSGAC So you think it was just an easy thing to leave his wife, and face the humiliation of divorce? I doubt that. Yes, forgiveness is wonderful, because God will forgive you for your cold unforgiveness of someone you have absolutely no compassion for, and really have no understanding of the process that led to divorce. If you only go by what you see and hear on youtube, you will always be deceived concerning the whole truth. God hates divorce, and He hates sin, but will forgive us.

@WSGAC If the Nicolaitans truly repented;yes, and so would Jesus. Everything with the exception of calling down angels went by the bible; and the praise and worship was excellent. When I don't understand something, I set it aside, and seek the Lord about it. But, you are mistaken, because false prophets and deceivers are not nor ever have been Christians. The Nicolaitans had wicked hearts, and would never repent; and that is why Jesus hated them. That is different than sinning and repenting.

@eburner3, the problem with heretics is that they don't admit, or even recognize, they are heretics. Plenty followed the teachings of the Nicolaitans (Nicolas began the sect). These followers honestly thought they were correct in their belief. The church at Pergamum was even embracing these beliefs. The blind and boneheaded christians who lacked discernment...even common sense, thought the Nicolaitian teachings were right and good. Alas, modern day idiot christians do the same with TB.

@WSGAC What are you then? A modern day atheist? Everyone THINKS they are right, or they would believe what they believe. That is the purpose for the word of God, because God's word is truth, not man's understanding ( Proverbs 3:5 ). Many Christians believe only part of the bible, and some believe doctrines of devils, but believing Jesus is Lord and Savior is the most important. The rest we can learn as we grow, but only after being born again.

"Lord, did we not prophecy in your name, cast out demons in your name, and do many wonders in your name? And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’"
If ever there was a demonstration of prophesying, casting out demons, and wonders done in Jesus name, lawless TB is it!
