  • nice vid i love cokering im importing some 50mm cranks from japan for my freestyle so im guna put them on my coker for a laugh i shall tell you how it goes haha

  • Haha those would be sooo short! They will probably not work very well, and you will find it hard just to maintain speed, even on flat ground. 89mm are even impractical in most cases for cokering. 102's are pretty much the shortest you should go, but it may still be a chore to maintain speed. 114's seem to be an excellent all-around size for both flat and moderate climbing.

  • there only to try as a joke i normally use 100's

  • Cool, I tried 102's but just couldn't get used to them. Seemed I had to work harder just to maintain speed. I guess it also depends on the rider and what they feel best with. You should take some video using the 50mm. That would be interesting!

  • well im used to short cranks cos i do lots of freestyle and have started to used 75mm so im geting used to short cranks but i guess 50mm on a coker is like 25mm on a normal 20"uni

  • Yeah, you may be used to short cranks for freestyle, but your 20" is a far cry from using 50mm on a 36er! using 50mm cranks on a coker would be like much shorter than 25mm on a 20! More like 5mm! You won't have ANY control and just getting up to normal cruising speed--and maintaining it--will be super hard. Still, I look forward to hearing how it goes.

  • well i will tell you how it goes well if i still have the ability to... think lol

  • Happy belated birthday

  • Thanks!

  • great riding again

make a vid about morty once pleeeez, (s)he's so cuuuute

  • Thanks. Ok, I'll make an all-Morty vid soon! :)

  • Nice passes! LMAO @ the police sirens & love your motto "Stay Tuned"! Nice colors / camera setting for the indoor shot, too. Cool shirt, BTW. Morty must be dining at the show...

  • Thanks Joey, I'm still trying to figure out how to get good, "smooth" slow motion. I've tried the fastest 1/2000 shutter speed, but when I slow it down it's waaaay choppy! What do I need to do?

  • Just change to the "HD standard" to "HDV" (60i) in your HV30 and de-interlace the video in post before adding slow motion. Shutter speed only affects how your camera handles light, not frames per second but you will notice that slower shutter speeds gives you better light but poor motion. Stick with the "sport" and "cine" settings. The only thing I'd change in your camera is the HD standard (HDV & HDV30) and white balance. Also know that extreme slow speeds will make the video appear choppy.

  • Yeah the choppy I figured was sue the using the 1/6 (lowest) shutter speed. I also did try 60i, in sports mode, then deinterlaced, and then added slowmo, but still it was terrible choppy. Could it be Movie maker? I've used slo mo in MM before with no apparent problems.

  • I typically don't slow a video lower than 50% speed. Also, for clean video movement, I'd recommend filming at 60i and de-interlace later but you should be fine with 30fps. A lower FPS will give you a smaller video file size and is faster to upload.

  • ok cool! I'll try it next video. Thanks!

  • great riding and i like your cat!

  • Keep em coming! you rock!

  • Omg! Awesome I WANT one of those!
