@howarth004 The Rotterdam is not sailing any more, But she's restored and is open fore public as Hotel, restaurant, congress and tourist attraction in here home port Rotterdam The Netherlands. She have a link with British rail in the 1950's/1960's one of the Atlantic coast boat trains was named Holland America Line. Pulled by the Merchant Navy class steam engines with the number 35022.
Thanks for bringing back memories. This is the SS Rotterdam that I remember from when I was a child 30 years ago. I sailed from New York City to Bermuda on SS Statendam and toured the SS Rotterdam while in Bermuda, plus the two ships were often traveling together from New York to Bermuda and back.
