wow sweet landing!!! my aunt has a cessna skyhawk which isnt rc btw but im taking it up to peoria illanois the day after tomorrow then were gonna to drive to airventure's oshkosh its gonna be great!!!
I really like this plane and have been trying to get up the courage to order one. I am a bit scared of large scale because a lot of money could be lost very quickly! I think I should probably wait until next year!
@eclipser2004 : The best thing to do, get it, build it, and then find a flying buddy that is very experienced and is willing to fly with you on a buddy box system. This way you can fly it and if you get into trouble or nervous to land it, your buddy takes over on the master controller and takes control. I do this for several newer pilots at the field often. It's a great way to get the feel for the plane and gain more experience.
@RCRedBaron Thanks for the advice. I will probably need it as one of the club members had an 8 foot span Unionville Beaver for sale for $250 - so I bought it! I will probably need a bit of help to fly it though.
@lothar2048 : I wish I had the answer for you, but I ran mine off electric motor and didnt even look at nitros or gasser power for this bird. If you've read that the G20 fits, I would check the mounting specs on the G26 versus the G20. I can tell you that the inside of the cowl, theres not a terrible amount of room under there. Good Luck to you and thanks for watching.
@RCRedBaron Thnaks. Ig G20 fits, G26 will as this is the same cranckase will modified cylinder and bore... This information is good for me... Did you tried will litlle wind ? I plan to build an FPV plane so the more stable it will be, the more satisfied i'll be too...
@silasraraujo : When I run my turnigy 50-65 400KV motor on 6cell 5000mah, Im getting 15 to 20 minutes of flight easily. But, I fly for 8 to 10 minutes, land, take a smoke break, and fly again for another 8 to 10 minutes on the same battery. Havent had any issues at all on this plane or motor/battery combo.
@silasraraujo : Sorry for late reply, didnt see your last post till now. It does fly Very Scale, and it can fly very fast, although, I like to keep a medium speed for more scale flying. This is one plane that doesnt need to be flown fast, aerobatic or with other stunts. Its the kind of plane you want to fly slow, scale and deliberate. Thanks!
I am jealous now, that is one nice plane. I may get the 182t from BananaHobby, I can't afford the Top Flite one. That and would be a little too much for a first plane, I would cry if I wrecked that thing.
Beautiful flight and video! What are the specs on your battery and motor setup? Hey, that first takeoff was amazing. Ground roll of what, 10 feet? Nice job!
I just added a Direct Link to the Cessna 182 on my Website RCREDBARON. It has complete motor, battery, watts, amps, weight, etc on it. But, for quick reference, the motor is a Turnigy 50-65 400kv Outrunner. 80amp Turnigy plush ESC, and I'm running qty 2, 3cell 5000Mah 30C Lipo batts, run in series to make a 6cell 5000mah lipo. A single 6cell batt will not fit with the scale cockpit installed.
Hi Robert,, I recently picked up a st-model cessna 182 full scale with lights.. looks very sim too your's.(nice btw) I had no probs taking off ,and flying around, but landing she didnt want to come down, the thing just floats lol
i ended up stalling her, and she went nose first into the ground.. its definatly not like the f27b.. great job m8!!
Im so sorry to hear about the Nose In. I use a bit of flap to help with the slow approach and keep lift. I've done my fair share of wave offs before feeling the right landing coming on.
Hey Sam, thanks for watching and leaving the great comment. I haven't had a chance to look at the planes. I glanced over, but not in detail. Had so many projects trying to get done.

i like this arf a lot. cool video. i wonder whats the biggest single saito that would fit fully cowled in this plane....
sean808808 1 year ago
@sean808808 : From reading specs, and reading others comments, looks like a 2 stroke .91 is biggest before you start really bulging out of the cowl.

Hi there, I was wondering if a zenoah G260 could fit in ? I have this engine left...
Some says that the G20 fits perfect, so i'm a little bit scared...
Thanks for helping.

Good Day Friend, I bought a cessna identical to yours, and bought a Turnigy 63-64 motor to be more
potent, but gave me bad, I put a battery of 6S 5000mah and the plane ran out of power,
I wonder if this engine is using that power was left, how many percent of
engine that you fly all the time, takes off with little clue? helice which they are using and the time
flight, look, thank you

Nice. the initial footage where you spool up the motor - it sounds like the real prop wash. Probably the wooden prop. Sweet model.
