its the plastic version, really nice quality, tough and pretty lightweight too

the real think is full plastic for the most part so but the real steel is a polymer compound which is much stronger

350-380 fps, and im guessing he's about 50 feet away.

And yes, it shoots far. About 100-150 feet. After about 90 feet or so, It loses accuracy a little, which is normal for an assault rifle, but you will still be VERY happy with this gun.

Just remember....the muzzle velocity is not going to be the velocity when it hits the target.

I used a chrono one day at my airsoft field, and it shot at around 380 with .2's.

I would HIGHLY recommend this gun. If you are looking for a good, compact gun with lots of plastic-flinging capability, I would say that this one is probably one of the best. My dad got one and let me keep it at my place so that it could be taken care of. It is a great gun.
