You're meant to clip and wire the litter box to the side to avoid things like that..

my guinea pig died.. she died right before she gave birth.. it's actually her third time.. i was really affected because it gives me fear of breeding guinea pigs.. do think she died because she eat alot and that gives her difficulties in giving birth? pls help..

@helario69 How old was she if she was over 10 months and you left a long period of time between her second birth and the third her pelvic bones may had become fused and she wasn't able to deliver her baby. did she carry the baby for longer than 70 days? If not then i'm not sure what it could have been i don't think she died eating to much since she was pregnant she may have eaten more than usual. hope this helps.

I have one guinea pig and it does just fine thanks. It is NOT animal cruelty (what a stupid thing to say). I give it lots of love and spend hours with it everyday. It is sociable with me and doesn't need another with it. I've had two guinea pigs before together and they were difficult to give equal amounts of love and they fought with each other. They were both girls. Get however many you want!

the earlier you start the better. i'm not sure if you can stop them pooping but you can get them to poop in a corner.

Thanks! This actually fired me up to keep going with litter training!

Mine aren't too fond of her litter tray...They've pooped in it but they still insist of peeing in the opposite corner to the litter tray. If I move it, the same happens but I put carefresh in the litter tray...Rather than newspaper and they ARE used to using newspaper as a toilet.

few tips from experience:

*for them not to spill the tray, tie the tray next to the cage(just make 2 holes and tie it with a string or sumthin like that)

*instead of ash trays and newspaper, you can put wood pellets they are much better!
