Ursula Bielski's the champ of all things Chicago paranormal and a true original. Look to her for the right combination of research, history, fun, respect for belief & science, and suspension of belief!
Love her; shamelessly love her. She brought the ghosts of Chicago to life and this made me teary eyed to watch her act this out at the conference. Ursula does history in so many interesting ways; she has slept in more cemeteries and houses and junkyards and battlegrounds than most anyone, looking for answers to this stuff. She mananged this amazing piece at the last minute when the original actor was sick; she rocked it with no sleep after two days and she fit the dress!
Thanks for posting this. I missed part of this originally. Nothing wrong with watching a pretty lady act out the story of one of the most famous Chicago hauntings.
WhoForted are just a bunch of haters. I saw the little bastards there and knew they would spin it however they wanted. They are like the Fox News of the paranormal world.
Maybe some people are not interested in the history of hauntings, but it was cool to hear the back story on Chicago's most famous ghost! BTW: I was sitting near the back of the theater & it was pretty full & did not see this mass exodus ALSO: There was a huge crowd for Lorraine's entire presentation, complete with standing ovation! I've got an idea: Let's see Who Forted TRY to put on a paranormal conference! So easy to spew put downs on something you have never done...
WOW!!! I thought this was a GREAT addition to the conference and I saw NO ONE leave the theater and go into the conference, and I was sitting at the back of the theater!
This was one of the best parts of the best ghost conference I've ever attended. I've heard Ursula give the history of Resurrection Mary a couple of times before but to see her actually act out the story in the person of Mary herself was so cool. Very unexpected and an awesome addition to Jeff Belanger's talk. This was very typical of the personal touches at the conference. Can't wait for next year!
Jeff Belanger's presentation was pretty enjoyable right up until this part, as it completely wrecked the mood. I'm sure that I'm not the only one who saw the mass exodus to the lobby five minutes into this trainwreck.

Thats funny, because I saw a whole mess of people leave. Almost as many that left when Lorraine Warren started spewing lies.
