  • Well for that many kids that amazing. The middle school choir did that song when i was in 8th grade but i hear its a high school song. Our Choir director is all about doing older song our jv highschool choir is sing blow thou winter wind... another college song... its crazy but our choir catches on pretty quick so its not to bad... but this is the video i watched to get the lyrics when i was working on it. BRAVO!!!

  • tip open you mouth much more to get a better sound and try not to go to fast :)

  • yeah, some of the high notes were scratchy and reached up to as opposed to being reached over.

  • im tennor bass and alto so i song the whole song and it was awesome but hardly anyone is in tune. it sounds to airy. pl need to open thier mouth more

  • my old honor choir sang this song. it is the same exact version :)

  • i love this song! i sang it al choir camp, and fell in love with it. though i do think that this song is better in 3part haromny.

  • erm.. no offence, but the voice quality is airy n not warm... needs work. Could be bad recording.. LOLs

  • it was done in only five days with sixth(yeah, young uns don't usually have great tone) through 12th graders

So no offense taken :) we tried.

  • I love this song! I sang it in the county estiffod(how ever you spell that)!!!

  • Excellent job by the choir, by the way

  • Then the wind will set me racing as my journey nears its end. And the path I'll be retracing when I'm homeward bound again. Bind me not to the pasture, chain me not to the plow. Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow.

In the quiet misty morning when the moon has gone to bed, When the sparrows stop their singing, I'll be homeward bound again.

-Music and Lyrics by Marta Keen

Obviously this is posted in reverse order

  • Bind me not to the pasture, chain me not to the plow. Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow. If you find it's me you're missing, if you're hoping I'll return. To your thoughts I'll soon be list'ning, and in the road I'll stop and turn.

  • Homeward Bound

In the quiet misty morning when the moon has gone to bed, When the sparrows stop their singing and the sky is clear and red.

When the summer's ceased its gleaming, When the corn is past its prime, When adventure's lost its meaning, I'll be homeward bound in time.

  • if anybody has the lyrics, let me know!!

  • i sang this song for a contest in school and got second division for state (if you know music you know thats really good) but i really like this song i think its a lot of fun to sing :D

  • i always loved singing this song in my choir at school last year....i think i might try to convince my teacher to do it again next year....

oh and just a little thing...the tenors/baritones were a bit off at parts

  • I agree it is a beautiful song, and the choir did a beautiful job, but i prefer it sung as a solo. I sang it as a solo and i am not saying i was better becuase i was just as good as anyone but the song is more prevelent when sung with a singular tenor voice. sorry just a different taste i guess.

  • I sang this song when I was in ninth grade chorus in high school. It's a beautiful song, but it's very sad in some way. I don't know if it's the words or the music that make the song so sad-maybe it's both the words and music. The part that says "If you find it's me you're missing" is very sad.

  • I remember this song from my middle school chorus days. A few of m friends sand it for competition. It's so pretty.

  • i had to sing this in my school and it all soundds the same

  • damn good singing however got dizzy staning on my head trying to look at the video and passed out and broke my computer... who the hell took this video should be stick beat

  • haha no offense to these peeps but my middle school is soooooo much better

  • this is really good...

but you could put more emotion to it...

  • The kids from my highschool already knew it, but everyone else in the choir only had four days to do it...So they were probably focusing on other things? I agree with you though. This song means the word to me.

  • awesome were doing this in allcounty chorus
