  • waar koop je die barium nitrate?

    greetings jan.

  • Needs a chlorine donor for a deeper green.

  • @VancouverRaver lol chlorine gas Dx

  • @henryb8780 Nope. Parlon wouldn't be added to fireworks if it did.

  • cool

  • whats da ratios?

  • Where the fuck do you get barium nitrate?

  • I've read a recipe in PYROTECHNICA-1 from Texas about a formula using Barium nitrate to produce white flame or white stars. This publication was available over 20 years ago. I have produced some of it an yes, there was a white flame when I sent it off in a rocket and the 2nd stage did its job.

  • that explains the HAARP flashes before the recent earthquakes

  • what were the ratios?

  • Cool stuff, have you tried it as star?

  • no Im not good at making stars.

  • Why not? It's not that hard.. Just add a little dextrin or any other binder, and cut/roll/pump it into small chunks.

  • @Basco36 If I use BaCO3 instead of barium nitrate the flame will be green?

  • @Mnemotron2010 I think yes, most barium salts make green flame

  • @Basco36 thank you

  • could i use barium nitrate in place of potassium nitrate for a green flame in sugar rockets?

  • ya probably

  • where did u get your KCLO3 ? (ive been trying to find it but cant

  • make your own with a chlorate cell its not that hard

  • Very Good Bright Green:

    Barium Nitrate 4

    Magnesium 3

    Potassium Perchlorate 2

    Parlon or PVC 1

    Simple and gooooooooooooooood!

  • thankyou for instructions:)

  • if you packed it together like a firecracker would it explode???

  • no.

  • Very good.

  • ... and barium salts (except sulfate) are very poisonous.

  • yeah I know

  • and barium salts (except sulfate) are very poisonous!

  • no I didn't know that, I dont do it often though.

  • You do know it's NOT a good idea to mix chlorates with nitrates?

  • There nothing wrong with mixing nitrate with chlorate, the only thing it can be mix with it is ammonium salts and any sulphur bases compound.

  • CANT be mixed. dangerous typo XD

  • Not all nitrates and chlorates give off the same reaction as Potassium and sodium salts, they differ chemically to what Ionic compound it is.
