My first pipe band had a WW1 Ayrshire piper who'd founded it in the US in the 60's. I hope the poster updates with identity of the pipers. Nice solid playing.
We fell in with a group of post WW2 Scots immigrants who held singing ceilidhs through the 1990's, maybe still today. "Auld Lang Syne" was sung at the end of any party, not reserved for New Year's Eve.
I'll be blasting it out the front door in a few minutes for 2009 mysel' .
