  • isnt this from the special they did in 1978???

  • @uploader comments ima dude.... akward...

  • LOL...I'm just mad that they are still wearing bell bottoms in 1981

  • They did, at some point, record this as a quintet, as well, though, didn't they?

  • I have always LOVED their version,,, I miss the young, innocent days we use to live in, I was lucky, thank you God for letting me grow up in their time

  • All the brothers look gorgeous on this.

  • MERRIL LOOKS LIKE MY COUSIN GUY WHEN HE WAS THAT AGE, VERY CUTE.

  • lyrics please

  • you will never EVER hear harmonies like that anymore.....

  • It's my hope that within my lifetime, music will sound like this again! Great lyrics and fantastic harmonies!

  • It was sad when Donny went his own way, but still, these four are magical together and I love every one of them. There has never been a group of brothers so talented as the original Osmond brothers! Each has his own distinctive voice and they sound so amazing together!

  • What a beautiful voice. I just love this song. It's on the first Osmond Album that I ever got. Still have it.

  • Lyn - you feel about Merrill that i do about Jay

  • My daughter went to Girls and boystown and this is the song they play at their graduation. Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney did a good job in the movie Boystown.

Father Flannagan is buried here at Boystown here in Omaha, Nebraska. Very nice song too bad we don't all remember this. It's hard to find good people anymore.

  • RAMBO...

  • Ilove their harmony

  • the song brought me to tears . I love this song and the meaning. thank you so much for posting ...Marla

  • "The Hollies" wote and recorded this song first

  • did they write this song or did some one else?

    I forget!!!

  • The song was written by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell and was a hit for the Hollies in 1969. The Osmonds have recorded it and performed it many times, even referring to it as their "theme song." They say it has special meaning for them--the obvious reason is that the song is about . . . brothers. Oh, and by the way, the 5th brother, Donny, was a solo artist by the time of this performance. What you see here are the original four Osmond Brothers who started out singing barbershop.

  • The Hollies had this near the top of the pop charts originally.

  • where is the 5th bro?

  • my favorite song

  • Better late than never.. I am glad I am enjoying their music now thanks to the nice people who post it.

  • i really love merrill singing this song. so soothing and the other boys are fab

  • I saw Merrill's mustache in several porno flicks back in the day

  • This family brings real meaning to this song

  • I really like this version.Merrills voice is so soothing and mellow.FANTASIC

  • The Osmonds are singing it for their brother. Their version has meaning and I love it.

  • I am here trying to find out a best version than The Hollies one, but this is impossible, The Hollies are the best of all

  • The Osmonds have a sweet version but let's not forget Allan Clarke and the Hollies who have the definitive and hit version of He Aint Heavy

  • love it

  • Nice song.

  • This was the B side of ONE BAD APPLE.

  • I remember why i felt for him all those years ago. His smile his moves His...EVERYTHING!I'm glad i found them again after more then 30 years.

  • Merrill is so hot and sweet at the same time! Love to see him sing.Gorgeous!

  • He's really beautiful isn't he 'birdie' you sound like you've been Merrillized.

    Lyn (mwah)

  • @birdiebird5 Um...if you say so.

  • Where is Donny?

  • where's donny?

  • Who?

  • Who,hell.

Your computer just accidently went to the Osmonds, huh?

    Idiot

  • it's bring back when i was i do remeber them sing this now iam mid 40's haha

  • which one is merrill?

  • The one with the mustache singing the lead - he's also the gorgeous sexy one.

  • Merrill has got to be the sexiest man that has ever been!!! By the way, I will get my way and name my future son Merrill Wayne.

  • I'm with you 'lizmarie' he is just so gorgeous.

And I'm sure that future 'baby' Merrill will be just as gorgeous as our sexy Merrill.

  • I am sure he will be. He will definately know all about the wonderful guys he will be named after..:)

  • I have been a fan of the Osmonds since 1960 when they started on Andy Williams show. Still feel they are the best in the business even after 50 yrs. Will always enjoy their music for ever.

  • I love the osmonds!

  • Just love the bro's singing this song. Merrill sings it with such meaning, Merrill was gorgeous then and, is still gorgeous now, love his smiling eyes and sexy smile.

  • I'd live to feel the tickle of that moustache.

  • I meant love - fingers fumbled (but I live for it too)LOL

  • I love this song by The Osmonds. It's amazing!

  • Osmond videos always make me smile! Even completely silver, Merrill is still gorgeous and can still sing!

  • For sure 'rottymonkey' aahh yes Merrill is still gorgeous as the 'silver fox' and his voice is still so true. Just love him, love him, love him.

    cheers

  • OMG Merrill is just so gorgeous in this video (all the brothers are in fact) and that voice - well here come the goosebumps.

  • How did I even miss this special? I feel about 20 some years younger..and I smile.

  • to bad donny was trying to find himself musically in the 80's while his bro's did country

  • When they invent time travel, I'm zooming straight back to the 70's! We always think we'll be young forever, don't we? Well, one thing's for sure...music like this NEVER gets old!

  • When you go take me with you so I can plant a big smooch on my "babe" Merrill omg he is gorgeous especially in this video.

For sure this music is ageless.

  • I love the Osmond's nothing beats them no way, no how-I wish with all my heart music was like that now a days!!!

  • Same with me I love you tube and being able to watch the Osmonds on it. I too am a former teen osmond fan that is now in my 40's.

  • Gee I don't what I would do without "youtube" now days I watch these and more Osmond videos every day just for the wonderful calm feeling I get after a stressful day in the office.

I think its because they remind us of a much more innocent time in our lives.

  • 44 on Friday, when i watch this i am a teen! Thanks guys!
