I have finally finished listening to this double CD coffret by Master Niquet (in fact several times). This is the the technically exquisite sort of success which compels audiophiles to purchase expensive acoustical equipement: you hear everything, every part, every line and it is wonderful!
Niquet's mastery reminds one that before the Revolution, before the bourgeois era, Boismortier's audience must have been maniacal dancers and/or dance fanatics!
