You've probably had someone comment this, but it's most likely the creatures rumored are mirelurks. If you go into the cave at Camp Guardian and you find the NCR soldier in the cave, he states that he thought the creatures were just a myth; the creatures being mirelurks that are populated in the cave. It's possible that a lot of the creatures the courier runs into are either rare for others to run into or have never seen.

Ok conclusion theory: a guy had too much jet and psycho and got high then he saw a few lake lurks. The lake lurks were playing volleyball or some water sport(water-skiing might be a possibility) and the guy saw the lake lurks from a distance and thought "oh my gosh it's lake . . . @BayHarborButcher4, the reason I think so many people hated fallout new Vegas was because everything was awesome till the end...unlike fallout 3 after you finished the game, you weren't able to free roam after.on fallout 3 you could.that didnt bother me at first but then I realized that I werent able to use the new weapons that you get during the battle of Hoover dam.(SPOILER ALERT) for example after I killed legate lanius I couldent test the sword on anyone.

Wow guys the reason you hear this on the radio is because he did the quest for the boomers where you get the b52 to float on the water for them so the boomers can restore it and use it in the final mission to help you. It's a guaranteed that there is no huge monster that's what it was.

I'm pretty sure the Lake Mead Monster is just the B-29 that you float up to the surface. Most people in the Mojave wouldn't know what a plane is, so they just assumed it was a monster.

Notice he says object or creature. And Mr New Vegas is actually saying "grainy". It's supposed to be a homage to the Loch Ness Monster, and all the grainy pictures that people try to present as evidence.

Any other game I could understand, but you can literally tear this game apart and look at every single file for the creatures in this game. Textures, models, quests (marked and unmarked), everything. And people pull out stuff that was cut from the game all the time, as well as debug files meant for programmers. no monsters yet
