  • Heard her sing this in Beacon, NY, night before last. I was crying through it--she's overcome a lot, and built a lot of beauty throughout her life. God bless Odetta!

  • ou were very lucky to meet her, unfortunately she did not come out after this performance. Liam Clancy who she plaed with did, but no offence Liam, it was Odetta I was there to see.

  • her onstage majesty is quite something, but when you get to stand next to her and converse (as I did recently at a Glasgow, Scotland venue, it's really quite humbling, for English people it must've been like meeting the queen
