Great little performance. Not what I expected since I have a video out with a Newfoundland uglystick....a percussion instrument. But your runs are great! Keep up the good work. If you ever come to visit, we'llhave to do a you tube tigether, ok?

ha ha...i've got my leatherman ready to tweak your volume knob and stuff ha ha ha....maybe you can just let me borrow an amp with lots of knobs on it.....
I imagine the difference between an instrument envisioned and the one created remains a gulf, whether one has an understocked garage or a money-is-no-object shop. You've created a work of art and magic there, Todd, and it sounds perfect to me. A mastadon tusk nut and maboongie wood neck would only take away from it.
Amazing! Love this stuff! I dig Ali Farka Toure and Ry Cooders Lp together. I also am a fan of V.M. Bhatt and Ry's collab. Come to think of it, I dig all of Ry's stuff!
That is cool. I have an old metal cookie tin I have been saving to try to make some sort of instrument. I think I could pull something like this off with my limited amount of tools and even more limited amount of patience.
Great vid, loved it. :)

Oh, yeah, that's how to build an instrument.
I just finished making an instrument with two courses of double strings and friction peg tuners. Lots of fun to tune, aren't they?

If you get a chance, have a listen to the collaboration between Ry Cooder and V.M Bhatt on a CD called Meeting by the river.
V.M. Bhatt's plays traditional classical music from northern India which is ethereal and haunting
He plays the Mohan vina an expanded slide-guitar-like instrument of own invention.
The marriage between delta blues and Indian raga is exquisite
