Whatever anybodys opinion of these remixes, be happy that Elvis' is still getting recognition. I am 24. Growing kids picked on me for being an Elvis fan. The Elvis I knew was the young slim leather clad, guitar on his back rocker from the 68 comeback special. The Elvis they thought they knew is the overweight jumpsuit Elvis. If this makes the younger generations think Elvis is cool, than it's cool in my book.

I see where you're coming from hepcat, but at least it's not a techno remix. No it's not rockabilly it is rock and roll. I didn't like this version because they messed with the chord changes. The more I listen to it the more I like it. I love hearing Elvis with more harder rocking guitars behind him. It gives me a complete circle. Elvis is the king of rock and roll. Hard rock did come from what he did. Hearing the two together is great. I still love the origanal.

I'm 25 and while I love the original versions, I love the beats on this new album. It's much easier to dance to. Nothing better than booty shakin to an Elvis song-- or even bump-n-grinding for that matter ;)

i think this is my favourite song on the cd. it's just great. the originals will always be the best but this is good to bring Elvis to the people who like the modern sounding stuff a little more.

What you guys are not understanding is that these songs were re-recorded for the Cirque de Solie Show in VEGAS which is AMAZING and yes they had to be revamped to fit their show... and I think the there might be one or two misses but they did everything to pay homage to the king and I believe they succeeded and if you ever get to VEGAS to see VIVA ELVIS you will see why/

Yeah, this track is shit, but King Creole and Burning Love is pretty good. Bear in mind this is just music that is specifically mixed for the dance choreography of the Cirque show. But yeah, they butchered "That's Alright" pretty bad. No redeeming quality of this track. Almost sounds like that disturbing feeling you get when 2 different songs are blasting at the same time.

If Elvis began with this song he would have gone no where. Really tragic. The Original version is so much better on all grounds including the echo. Not near as well done as 'Suspicious Minds' on this album.

OR....If anyone is interested in hearing a different direction on this concept. I have uploaded videos of Elvis remakes that I produced and pitched to Sony. I was told they were interested and couldn't do anything until 2011 so I held on to the songs and waited. I just heard about this album yesterday and thought I might as well let people hear my project.

If you don't like "modern" music, are not openminded, or have been heard saying "my Elvis" then you probably won't like them.

a really good premise for an elvis cd but alot of these just dont work in my opinion! the king creole is better than be4 but the rest is just messy sounding!! elvis was sooooo raw, its to bad they didnt understand the his raw ness and drummer bass line that drove most his best is lost here
