Kelebpang. a lot of peopl do not realise that the runway is now all-weather and very good. I think it was about 4 years ago this was fitted. There are now 2 flights every day except one day where one flight is for cargo only.
i think they started using the new runway in 1996 or 1997 if i'm not mistaken. Ya.. the runway now is now all-weather and theres less canceled flight then using the old runway. but we missed the connecting flight from myy-bbn-bkm-bbn-myy now.

hi...good landing guys... that is the new runway for bario. Last time it was only grass where the aeroplane can only land on it once a week if raining season... so...good luck for those who fly to bario and meet u guys there....
In 1964 I was in the Royal Air Force and was the Air Trafic controler. The strip was grass only and fuel was air dropped in from the back of Beverly Blackburns ( 4 x 50 gals to a shute. I wonder if Henry Jalla is still there as a teacher. Many a meal in the long house but I was only 18 then. I remember burning over 1000 gallons of fuel that was contaminated, poured it into the ditch on the far side of the strip and setting it alight with a flare. Kept the jungle back. it was a criminal waste.

Most people just know him as Capt David! Hes from New Zealand and used to pilot the Twin Otter to BArio.
Would you like me to film more landings in July and once we more there?
Also I have in-flight videos and photos flying low over the canopy.
