Jonell has always been one of my favorites since I first heard her on a soundtrack, Boys on the Side or Hope Floats .

I cannot believe that she is not a household name - mroe's the pity , because she surely deserves a larger audience. What talent !

Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, Jonell played at the Vernon Club in Louisville KY, her old home ground and gave a legendary performance. You Know Who You Are", Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic" Robert Johnson's "Crossroads", Nick Lowe's "When I Write the Book", even a great take on a rock version of the Christmas class "Silver Bells". She played before maybe 150 or so people, but in a fair world it should have 10,000. They don't know what they missed. Jonell, you are a treasure of this generation.
