  • lol.... i was just about to comment on how you havn't put the last one up yet and saw your internet problem comment.... can't wait to hear the next sement on the dark knight

  • The final segment is to the rest of the episode what Dark Knight is to Batman Begins.

    :)

  • Sorry folks, having internet problems. The final segment will be posted asap.

  • i got this book today absolutely love got it for 19.99 at my local comic shop i got lucky it was the last one great points as well gonna subscribe :)

  • Glad to have you aboard.

  • This was probably the first time I ever felt freaked out by reading a comic book. I found it really hard to believe batman's reaction at the end. However, I see the message that Moore was to send and it was very chilling.

  • Toward the end of TKJ, Batman's character was WAAAAY off, but the story was well crafted, of course, and Moore gave Joker a pathos that permanently shifted my view of Joker. I hated what they did to Babs, but it has turned out to be a major reminder in the DCU that violence has real, lasting consequences. And the art was spectacular.

  • I never bought the idea that Joker is constantly put through the revolving door of Arkham Asylum, so the last act of TKJ seems phoney. Its chilling to see Batman 'joking around' with the Joker, but its not very realistic.

Also, I've been sick to death of the Joker in the comics for the past 18 years or so. The last decent portrayal of him was by Jim Starlin in "Death In the Family". Heath Ledger has restored the reputation of the Joker as a truly frightening psychopath.

  • I could be terribly wrong here, but wasn't Heath's performance also inspired by character Alex from Stanley Kubrick's "Clockwork Orange"??

  • Yes, and Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols as well.

  • Syndicette!!! Syndicette!!! The audience is clammoring for more. Thanks for the wonderful coda though. R2-D2 with the princess crown definitely puts it over the top.

  • The crown was the flourish in my otherwise, behind the scenes existance :)

  • This show rocks my socks! Keep on keepin' on!
