  • kewl.. its simply the neat ending :D

  • this is genius! i'm going to try this right now.

  • One question.. how did you start it? Because its not with an overhand knot, or is this just at the end that you do this?

  • This is an excellent tutorial, Thank you so much, I've been putting on cord ends, but just adds cost and is rinky. I couldn't figure out the switch knot until I watched this. Thank you

  • I don't get how the loop at the top is only 1 strand. I know you double over the strings, but then shouldn't the loop at the top be 2 strands? Since we're working with 4 strands.

  • love this video

  • or... a ring???

  • wow i liked the end haha

  • Show how to start!

  • I have been struggling with a good clasp for this type of jewelry. Thanks for this information. It helped so much!

  • do u not wanna be fucking retarted and show us how to get the loop to slide

  • lol "& here ive mad an itty bitty braclet." Haha (: thats cool, how much does the hemp rope cost?

  • @xxxGetCrunkkk It depends on the thickness of hemp you get, for really thin hemp it can be like $5 for 133.3yds/121.9M and it's about $10 for really thick hemp, I don't know how much comes with it though, but it's a lot!:)

  • i tried this one a few times before i noticed the beginning is different. instead of tying an overhand knot, then starting the square knots, you skip the overhand knot altogether and begin the square knots. that allows the square knots to slide instead of get stuck at the big overhand knot.

  • neat!!

  • you didn't show how to start it.......

  • I'm having to use 4 thin strands of hemp :/ And mine won't slide.

  • would this work for a starter to a friendship bracelet made from Embroidery floss (like the candystripe and chevron)? because that would be a great way to start and finish a bracelet

  • this is so good and your teaching is great but please please make another video showing how to start this, cos then it would be perfect :) and the same with all the others would also be fantastic :D

(sorry, I don't get all those explanations in the comments, I think I need to see someone actually do it).

  • its a ring!

  • "itty bitty"

    haha.

  • Question. Do you know how to make a knot that can hold a rock/stone/crystal without any holes or pins for a hemp to go through?

  • oh my gosh. this is exciting. I just learned a lot in two minutes. woowhooo!!! :)

  • Brilliant.

    Thankyou:)

  • yeah how do you start this

  • i'm wondering the same because technically once you switch the bead carrier and the knotting strands you end up using the short bead carrier to finish the brace let how the hell does that work out? lol. Are we spose to start with the super long strands as the bead carrier?

  • How do you start this?

Do I lock the very tip/beginning where I slide the lock in?

  • Hello! great video, much help with my latest stuff. I was having a hard time trying to find a way to tie it off, this was just the thing i needed. ~ <3

  • lol its so small its a ring =]

  • okay mine looks just like his, but it wont slide. it would help if he showed how to start it. i just tied 3 square knots on to the bead carriers but they don't slide at all.

  • Thank you for the great macame' video explanations. You are easy to follow, especially for us beginners, and your voice clarity and speaking speed are easy to understand. Look forward to future posts!

  • do you smoke ganja?

    peace!

  • and now i know what hemp it made out of..

  • that's soooooooo cooooool!!!!! imma use this trickkk now!

  • cool. thanks :D

  • That was very clever! I love that technique, and I'm gonna use it. Thanks for posting this!

  • how did he make only one hoop at the top?

    i always get 2 hoops

    do you kno how?

  • The bead carrier only is on the hook. He does not use a knot . While the bead carrier is on the hook, start making the 3 square knots, That's how you get only one loop at the top.

  • thanks so much

  • i love that hes so serious about it and even has gone so far as to screw in a hook to that board

  • people have hobbies if you didnt know it, thats why the channel was created... for hemp projects he actually sells these to make some money do anything that makes his job faster is a plus.... and i have a board with a hook in it for projects like this.

  • I love hemping, I make it like every day, my mom says that even for a 12 year old, she thinks I mastered it! Knowing new ways to make it is really cool too! You should message me and I will message you some pics of my work! Thanks!

  • thats a really small bracelet!!!

    hehehe

    love this technique

  • I am soooo loving this technique! Makes it so much easier for me to close my anklets and bracelets. I had been putting split rings (for extra protection) and magnetic clasps. Sometimes it is sooooo hard to get those split rings onto the superlon cord. I sold 2 ankle bracelets at my son's baseball tournament today! LOL My customers loved the closure you showed us.

  • OMG!! The PERFECT way to finish a micromacrame toe ring!! Thanks so much for this.

  • dude that's awesome. genius! thanks.

  • what a brilliant idea

  • i love your techniques, they are very simple and your video is very easy to follow. Thank you:)

  • it's actually called the switch...

  • i never thought of that

    thast cool

  • thank you -- great idea for a clasp (and nice itty-bitty bracelet)

  • aww dude that is awesome i never thought of that!

  • Hi, I have seen your videos, they are clearly and I like how they explain, but I want to know if you could do a video on how to make bracelets that takes a person's name on it. Thank you

  • nice vids my friend..

  • That's awesome! The best fixing method I've ever seen :D

  • That's pretty awesome!!! Thanks for the vid! I'm actually going to try this right now... lets see how it turns out! lol

  • i like that ity bity bracelet :)

i have to give you some props you are the go-to-guy for hemp jewelry. I love all of your stuff

  • thats sick i never thought of that

  • OMG THANK YOU so much!!!!!!!

  • thx dude very usefull!!!

all ur vids r now in my favorite list!!!

  • The loop in this video is formed by taking the strand and folding it in half, then tie the knots.

You might also want to check out my video of the simple clasp.

  • @UtleyvilleHemp

hi there, thanks for the video :)

But i'm not sure how to start it. how to you make the loop for it to work with the sliding knot? do you think you could make a video for this?

    much appreciated! thanks :)

  • hey man, awesome videos!

i would like to know, how do u start a bracelet with a single loop (like the one u show at the start of this video), and how do u finish a square knot ring or bracelet please ;)

    thanks for all your help

  • The clasp is best using square knots. You can use half knots, but it might look a little weird (to me anyway) because of the switching part. And generally if you aren't liking the result this early in the piece, it's easy enough to just untie it and start over again.

  • can you use other knots with this(like left half knots and stuff like that)? or is it just with a square knot? id like to know before i start wasting my hemp on a mess.

  • Yeah, I know, that part was vague. If my other responses up above don't help, let me know.

  • @UtleyvilleHemp

I still dont get how to start this bracelet off....... help? please.

  • hey how do i start it off?

like how you have the top.

btw you turorial was awsome probley one of the best ive ever seen

  • you are awesome.

  • thanks, this is really cool! all of your videos are awesome, thanks for posting them! (:

  • This is probably the best tutorial on hemp crafts that I've seen :)

  • Thank you so much for this video! You helped me very much! You are the best teacher in this things, from here!Thank you!

  • i WOULD do this one but that would be a little silly.

In my case... i pin down the bead carrier or else the string will get tangled with me. so i can t do tthis one it looks reaaly cool though

  • holy shit dude thats awesome

  • Awesome video!! I'm going to try it right now

  • This is freaking amazing!!! I've always just made an overhand knot with a loop at the start of my jewelry and added a large bead at the bottom to close it, but this is even better!!!

  • hmm, you know the little loop at the top? the one attached to the silver thingy?

i don't get how you do that loop, or how to start off.

  • The loop is formed by finding the center of your longest strand, what will become your knotter. And then anchor that bend and tie 3 square knots with what will become your bead carrier.

  • dude you are awesome i learned the pretzel knot and this from you A++ my friends ask me how i do it 2

  • i did it right, but it won't open and close, how do you do that again?

  • Grasp the loop part in one hand and the first square knots in the other, and pull the loop out. Depending on the particular kind of hemp and how tight your knots are, this might take a little bit of effort the first time.

  • ur awsome!

  • wait... how was the loop formed? im confused..

  • The loop is formed by finding the center of your longest strand, what will become your knotter. And then anchor that bend and tie 3 square knots with what will become your bead carrier.

  • awesome!!

  • I was doing it, and i got it right!! everyone loves it!THAX!! o, i also love the pretzel one!!! keep up the good work!!
