I was at this concert, and I proposed to my wife during this song. I was never into Springsteen before, but we went because she was, and this song converted me into a Springsteen fan. It absolutely kills me to know that not only was I fortunate enough to see this live, but also to know that if I was ever in my life lucky enough to see this again, it wouldn't be the same without Clarence's sax solos. RIP Clarence Clemons. God bless your soul. We love you very very much.

Thank you for this, EV. I've always felt this song to be the center of gravity of The River. We used to love like this in 1980, for better or worse. Do people drive all night for anybody these days?
