@emmanuel20090 I'm afraid that truck has already been sold. They do have a few other Ford pickups for sale though. Just check out their website at Gatewayclassiccars . Thanks for watching!
Can you guys deliver these vehicles in enclosed trailers? I live in South Dakota, and it would be kinda hard for me to get down to St. Louis. And do you still have this Ford, how much are you asking since it's restored?
@DefenderX12 They do deliver to nearly anywhere in the world. Just contact them through their website if you're interested in purchasing a vehicle. Gatewayclassiccars
good looking truck i have one that matches it in candy apple red and is liffted just a little with american racing wheels and mus=d tires. I am about to do a full restore to the body and plan in doing a burnt orange with most of the crome removed off.
@smalltownboy15 My first truck was a 77 F100 in candy apple red. That burnt orange would look pretty cool on one I'm sure. Thanks for checking this one out.
Beautiful truck! Would love to have that one in my garage. And that color of blue really makes it stand out. I really like the newer F150 touches that were added. Has the stock look with a little bling. Just enough to make it really look sharp and not be overdone like many are. Thank you for providing us all with these awesome videos.
@azzarbprime Thank you very much for all your comments and support, I really do appreciate it. It's always nice when someone sees value in what your doing. I'll do my best to keep the vids coming.
Cool. I used to work with a guy that had that same year and color truck. his dad bought it brand new in 79. That truck says GIT R DONE all the way.. lol.
@AddictiveBreedNICK Yep, the 7.3's are great engines. I'm a huge Ford fan in general, but obviously they've always been particularly great at building trucks. Thanks for having a look at this one.
My dad had a '79 jacked up high with a 460 Ford in it back in the 80s. Mudding was very popular in the 80s here in Texas. The early days of Bigfoot and monster trucks.
@mwig50 Ford never had a 360 in the F series. 360 V8's were found in Chrysler's and AMC's. These always had a 300, 302, 351, 390, 400, or 460 depending on which F truck and package. The most common engines from the factory, were kept all the way til current. Which were the 300 (later replaced in 97 by the 4.2), the 302 (aka 5.0, later replaced in 97 by the 5.4), and the 351 (aka 5.8, 3 types cleveland, modified, and windsor replaced later by the V10)
@FTORC1 Let me phrase that better, according to my father it was a 1 ton frame with a 3/4 ton body built for a guy who owned an hvac business, I remember taking the tool boxes off of it as a kid. Whenever dad needed parts for the engine he always told the parts guy 360, and according to Wikipedia the 360 was put in 1 tons, so who knows. Dad was the Ford/Chevy guy in my family I am a more of a Mopar guy.
@mwig50 I bet he actually said 460. Or, at least the parts guy knew he meant 460. In the 1 ton chassis, the most common engine was the 460. At least, until the release of the IH 7.3L IDI diesel. I don't trust anything on wiki, because it's all purely user submitted information. However, I did find instances of a 360FE. It was a 390 with a 352 rotating assembly. Still technically a 390, but the 352 rotating assembly changed the displacement to 360. That orphan, was made from 73-76.
@mwig50 The 3/4 ton trucks, generally utilized the 351, 390, 400, or 460. None of which could be mistaken for a 360. Commonly, the 390 and 400 get mistaken for each other due to similarity. The 390, however, was typically found in Thunderbird's and Lincoln's. It's rare to find any F series with the 390, but they are known to exist. Most people distinguish the 2 as 400 and 400M (400M being the actual 400).
Very nice truck! I should show this to my buddy. He has a pieced together '73 - '79 F-250 high boy. This looks very similar to his truck, only MUCH nicer!!! LOL!
@ckobesko Everyone seemed to have one here in my area of Illinois too. They sure were some great trucks. I had three with this body style over the years and they all held up well.
thats a beautiful truck man i miss the old ones now thats build ford tough you can hit them and you would walk away with a scratch now a days they have all this plastic and luxury shit
@Hawk5392 You'd come up 55N and cross over into Illinois. It's Exit 6 off of 55-70 at Route 111. It's the exit for the Great River Road, Pontoon Beach, and Washington Park.
weird to see that as a "classic" i still see some of them driving around once in awhile. in pretty good shape, too! but i guess its a lot different out west.
@monarch1957 I'm glad to see some people out there preserving them. My first vehicle was a 77 F100 Custom and my second was an 84 F150. Neither one looked as good as this one though.
@bisquik3006 It really is a good looking truck. It's rare to find them this nice. Glad you like the intro....my brother made it for me. Thanks for watching.
