As a total non-fan of The Locust, I still can't say they're the worst band ever. They're more original than Fall Out Boy or Panic At The Disco or those other stupid bands. I really do dislike their music, though. I mean, you can't tell me they're not just trying to come up with the most dissonant, fucked-up sounding shit ever. Then again, I guess that makes them a success...Ugh. I'll never actually support this band, but I won't tear them down either.
This was the first time I ever saw "The" Locust, and of all the times, this was the best. I was up front and on acid! So many good bands played this day, My Lai, Assuck, Reversal of Man, Ink & Dagger, Jenny Piccalo, too bad this was the 2nd worst run fest I'd ever been to. The Locust were cut off twice by the soundman, and they played anyway, just drums and people screaming along. Rad Ass.
The even bigger problem is the band's lack of any major listing of the VERY first Locust recording (the split with Man Is The Bastard) which is a complete masterpiece. Not enough people know about it, and it's horrible! I own the 10" and it's amazing.
Indeed, I did too, which is why experimental music is so great, you pay for something totally interesting rather than something really generic and watered down.

They're coming here to AZ on the 28th, we're their last stop on the tour, so if I see any scene fags hardcore dancing to their shit I'm gonna knock each one out and make sure we can start circle/mosh pits rather than fucking hardcore dancing bullshit.
yea i agree, also the sound has changed dramatically! they went from E-grind to like gibber gabber noisecore, but it's not that bad really they are good either way it's just that im not used to locust being "noise". there is one thing that has not changed though.. the band's attitude, they are still assholes LOL!
At the time this show happened, Gabe Serbian was playing guitar in both the Locust and Cattle Decapitation. The drummer, David Astor, was also playing drums in Cattle Decap.
