Cricket Broadband sucks. It's the WORST computer internet connection ever. It goes at an extremely PATHETIC rate, everyday. If only Cricket knew how to make an Internet Broadband, the thousands of people who actually use their cell phone service would actually getting what they're paying the extra $40 for. Verizon may over price their customers for using their service, but at last they know something Cricket doesn't know- make an internet connection.

I've had cricket A600 for almost 2 years. It is what it is they slow down speed after a certain amount of usage within the month but they never cut you off or charge you more. So for me it's been worth it. By the way if you have a desktop computer get an antenna for it. It improves speed.

ive had this internet for a while and i hate it the only good thing about it is you can go anywhere but after a week it goes to a snail like crawl the people that sold it to me said it would run fine all month they forgot to tell me theres a cap on the internet usage and if you want to watch videos online for get about it maybe for the first couple of days its "alright" at best its always dormant and disconnects when it was its good for people who check emails i guess its to slow for its price

i have the same one it takes two hours to down load five mins. of you tube vidios, and evertime i start my laptop i have to activete it or reinstall it. i was told that i have unlimited broadband but i found out that i dont why is that? i also have insurance on it,and was told its the best one they had but its so slow i fall asleep waiting for it to work. (and im outside in the open)

i have it too. i think i have figured out their game. they send you a text telling you that you've exceeded your data usage and to click the link for help. then they offer you an upgrade. It's like extorting money from you. i'm sure many people get so irritated with this slow down they fall for it. it's RUDE. It doesn't cost them ANYTHING to keep the speed going, but then they can't EXTORT people. grrrrrrr. They seriously need to stop tampering with speeds!

I have this exact same modem and it loads youtube videos really good with no buffering. Must be the location.

I can't get this piece of crap to work on my 2011 Macbook Pro with 10.6.x, the (already crappy, just look at your console when it does actually "work") software (that FORCES A STUPID MENU BAR ICON) doesn't even recognize the modem.

Cricket, 10.6 Snow Leopard has been out a VERY LONG TIME. Quit defrauding your customers and FIX THIS NOW.

If Cricket was truley unlimited it would be a good service. What sucks is depending on the plan you get you can only use 2.5 or 5 gig a month so if you hit the cap in the middle of the month you have slow 100kb per sec limit until you pay the next bill.

I have the A600 and for about a week videos loaded super fast, I still have 4/4 lines and it's been slow for days. Vids on Hulu too. Laptop is brand new, only two weeks.

you can do everything in the world to get more bars but from what ive noticed it dont madder how many bars you get the service is whatthey put out to you ..... if you use 5g a month over...... your service will crawl to a stop and your bars will be at 4

With the same modem as you, YouTube videos load slow, and downloads take a long time. But I learned to live with it.

I am using my mu185c modem with my tower pc. I also have a hp G60-549DX Notebook that is wireless ready. My question is how to use both online at the same time. I receive signal but it ask for a SSID then a network security key. Can you help?

I just got the cricket A600 modem, which happens to show the amount of signal i'm getting by having a display that with 4 bars (like on a phone) and the stronger the stronger the signal, the more the bars light up..in blue. It seems to all come down to connection and location. From my house I get one bar and kinda slow conncection. In my car at the park I get 2 bars and it's quicker. Outside my car I get 3 to 4 bars and can watch Hulu tv shows perfectly.

We tested the A600 also. They get almost identical service levels. I'd recommend you get a USB cable extender. That might help you out with your service bars. With the extender you can place it wherever gets best service.
