@omnimonaz9 Say what you will, but Vegeta was the best character in the series *by far*. He was insanely flawed, and so self-involved as to be downright evil. But this allowed him to progress and actually change as a character, and that is something none of the other characters are really allowed.

Vegeta learns and the trials he undergoes change him allowing him to grow. This makes him far more interesting than Goku who is constantly flawless and therefore boring throughout.

i was like 4 and a half at the beginning of dbz

he trained a year to fight the saiyans, he would be 5 and a half by then

about a year passed at the end of the frieza saga (260 days to summon the namekian dragon twice), he would be 6

he trained 3 years to fight the androids, so he'll be 9 at the time

and lastly, he aged a year in the hyperbolic time chamber, therefore he should only be 10

@elk832 Well, you can kind of blame the fans of the show for that. The original intent was to have Goku remain dead. While Gohan sort of take his place as Earths main protector. Then introduce Goten as Goku's replacement over the longer term. But the fans were upset that Goku died, so they had to come up with a way to bring him back. It really restructured the rest of the series and magna.
