  • This baton is awesome. I found mine in a public bathroom! I used it once, but I didn't even get to extend it, two guys was beating an old man to rob him and, when I step aside from my bicycle and try to draw it from the sheath, the guys were gone, running their asses off! In my country, this batons are still legal, but politicians always find a way to bann new things, just in case, and to show off their power and "wisdom", as usual :/

  • I think it's meant to appeal to security firms and law enforcement agencies, or any company that has the right to carry these batons.

  • same to germany now -.-*

  • @LoyalYelLowBiatcheZ so , eps is a czech company.. made in czech republic, for civilian self defence , why would a czech buy this weapon , they can all legally buy handguns and get carry permits to to have a pistol on their person for self defence..

  • i hate how ppl arnt alowed to carry these in public....bad guys dont care they carry anything to hurt ppl but a good guy carrys something to defend himself and hes arrested...way to go usa (yes i do live here and i do love it sept for a few choise things)

  • @TwlightdragonDF yeah thats so stupid... same in germany since about a year... only things allowed are knives and oc spray... but a knife is more dangarous than a baton.'

I hope they won't ban oc sprays... that would be the dumbest thing

  • @TwlightdragonDF it's the same in sweden.. i fucking hate it!

  • WTF The first 2 are about normal guys who are being attacked but you arent allowed to carry it outside. How the fuck did they think?

  • How do you think? In certain countries it is illegal co carry in public, unless you are a police or guardian etc.. This video is only meant to show application of the baton, not reality of laws in yours or mine country.. This video is ESP:s official video (can be found on their website).

  • I know it's their official. Thats what makes me confused. You arnt allowed to carry it on you outside but they show it in the video. And on their site is says "Do not carry outside goes under hidden weapon law"

  • Well there is plenty of things that is illegal in movies, but they do it anyway. If they filmed a commercial and talked with authorities in advance, it generally is ok. But in some countries it is not illegal to use, where I live, it is illegal. Violation against "the knife-law" and is approx 300euros in a fine.

  • We have the same law where I live. But still they say that you shouldnt but in the vid they show it. Thats what makes my head explode. They are sick in that way :P

  • But there is really nothing strange about it. The video is a commercial, and I could use the baton outside without breaking laws. When I practice iaido I can use a sharp steel sword, even in public, since it isn't a weapon but a sports-tool, like a tennis-racket. Same thing with the baton but they probably asked for clearance with local authorities in advance of making the commercial...

  • Thats still not the point. The point is that they say "Don't wear/use outside" and in the video they show 2 clips when they are outside. Noone uses an esp baton in any sports so that was a sick idea from your side. Sure I use sword, daggers, spear, nunchacs, and shurikens(eaven chains sometimes :P) in my kung fu-tao but still it's a weapon if you carry it in public(if you arent on your way to practise or home from it) you will carry it as an weapon and if the cops sees it you are in deep shit.

  • Kunde inte sagt att du va svenne btw?
