dumbest thing? i have linux and xp on the same comp, linux is fucking slow and i have everything on low. none of that special effects. let me tell you, in order to install ubuntu, i had to buy some more ram because i only had 238 ram. xp was working fine with that amount of ram.....

don't tell me linux works 2x faster on half the resource because it uses 2x the resource but works only half fast

Fair point. As i was testing on 3 different PC's i just used movie maker, old habits die hard. I actually use kdenlive now on Ubuntu 8.10

Alright, The "point" you are trying to make, from what I understand is to give the impression that Ubuntu is a faster OS than Vista, or XP right? Why do you then as a Ubuntu-fanatic use Windows Movie Maker to deliver this message? You could have at least use Kino which is an open-source video editing program made for Debian, Ubuntu and Gentoo.

Okay, that was wrong of me to jump to conclusions. But at least when you want to do further testings try to use the same computer and just dual boot between the os'es you want to compare. In this video it's an unfair testing situation due to the Vista machine's RAM Memory and graphics card.

And try not to think of me as the biggest douchebag in the world, I'm just trying to get me point across.
