this thing sucks i have been in about 5 parties with different djs and all of them having problems with this machine its not very comfortable to work with it.... its only my opinion.

its the controller, it does not respond for example when scratching, it freezes and makes a weird sound i saw the dj turnin off this thing several times in one gig.

I have the VCI-100....I use it with Traktor at my gigs..I LOVE IT

The cheapest I could find it was 5,383. I could buy it then flip it on ebay and make a quick $800 bucks....

As an electric engineer, I designed and built a lot of audio stuff. I have to laugh when some dj's come up with vynils and they use an average digital mixer and they say: "vynil sounds better than cd". If an analog signal is converted to digital, than from that point it doesn't metter what do you use, digital media or vinyl.

hey, this device is perfect. I bought one last year in august. The faders and the knobs are good as new. Doesn't feel akward to use. I like it better than a CDJ1000 because its more confortable to mix with it.

With an Audio Kontrol 1 sound card it is the perfect light weight setup. The new VCI 300 will be more interesting, I can't wait to see some review's from it.

just the hardware and a screen with a external hard drive

will be perfect

you forget that you would also need a better processor, RAM memory and extra software to make a controller into a standalone media player.
