Even when you watch him playing, you can't believe what you're seeing. He was shopping for a mandolin pickup system many years ago at my shop in Long Beach, Calif. and after setting him up with an amp and a contact pickup he began to play. It was a total disconnect. My brain was hearing the music but also arguing with me..."You can't do that on the mandolin!". Amazing talent.
