  • Will the 5 Year Mission Program be apart of the New Timeline ?

Will the Starship Reliant be in Trek 12 in a Cameo ?

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI SEPTEMBER 2011

  • Star Wars and Star Trek are completely different, yet people criticize either/or due to it just having the 'Star' part in the name. Heck, Mass Effect, a wonderful series I might add, is closer to Star Trek than Star Wars and people don't criticize them on that.

  • OK people shut up. Star Wars and Star Trek are both awsome, but are completly different.

  • Gran serie del pasado. Me transporta a mi niñez y adolescencia en los 60s y 70s

  • When he says "Space, the final frontier" I get goosebumps lol

  • If I could be One Person it would be Cary Grant.

    No Argument.

If I could be One of Three Things in Life it would be Either the Captain of a Frigate in the Royal Navy in the Early 1800s, a Captain of a Starship in the Late 23rd Century. Or if it could happen, to be the Commander of the Original Colonial Battlestar, the Galactica, leading Blue and Red Squadrons into Battle to save the Human Race once again.....................

  • I Love it too much!

  • Was Captain Robert April the First Skipper of the Original Starship Enterprise in the Original Trek Timeline ? If he was then he would have Commanded the First Starship of the Enterprise's Class Ship before he Took over the Enterprise. " Bob' April would have been Charismatic, Handsome, Likeable,Stern,Confidant, Physically Imposing and an American from the Northwest to Toughen him up. He would have had a Mean Right Hook and been Awesome in a Barfight on Earth or on a Planet against an Alien .

  • @willtsichkestudios The movies are good fun, as long as you don't expect to see non-stop action and incredible special effects. Star Trek was never about that (unlike Star Wars); the movie "I, Robot" features a robot as the main character. I guess that means Star Wars is the same as "I, Robot" as well; And lastly, I don't see how you could consider Voyager (or any other series) to be crap. Sure, it's not Oscar material, but it's damned entertaining to watch. (Continuing in next post)

  • @willtsichkestudios That's a terrible comparison! Star Trek does not have 'armies' of expendable troops, as there is hardly ever any combat that involves more than 5 people; I don't recall money being ever mentioned or used in the Star Trek periods (though I haven't seen all of the series in their entirety); there is no main villain in Star Trek. The Borg are only relevant in one of the five series; Jar Jar is worse than any other film character; (continuing in next post)

  • why everybody gotta troll on this

  • Its funny to see that people sink so bad that they have to stalk hahahahahahah FAIL!!!

  • @tag1989 Says the guy who decided to come all the way back to this video to respond. Clearly I got to you kiddo lol. Oh and you're now blocked and I've marked everything you and I both said as spam. So have a good one ^^.

  • me too.... I thought it was a theremin.. lol

  • @PerceptionIllusion Yeah, that's the star trek theme. Obviously, lol. Vega's theme just sounds like it.

You know she stole from those lyrics.

  • @SoyMejorQueTu Star Trek is complete different to Star Wars.. you can't compare it.

  • @filipre123 yea you cant compare it....cause star wars was better :)

  • @tag1989 I'm sorry, but Star Trek never had a Jar Jar Binks, or maybe we should talk about sand and how it get's everywhere.

  • @Mech610 lol your comment was pathetic.

  • @tag1989 How so? Because what I listed was true? Sorry buddy, but Star Wars never inspired any actual inventions. Star Trek on the other hand: Cell Phones, MRI Machines, Holographic Projectors...

The list goes on, now explain to me how to create a working lightsaber :).

  • @Mech610 only if YOU explain to me how to actually create a Cell Phone, MRI Machine and a Holographic Projector.

And films arnt made to inspire... unless your some idiot living in the so called, "American Dream" LOL.

Star wars had more fighting and they actually completed there quest's. unlike star trek where those idiots would rock from side to side when ever they would get attacked by another space ship lol. who were the most feared enemies in star trek? those ugly Klingons?? lol pathetic.

  • @tag1989 First off, my point flew over your head. Star Trek inspired actual science, Star Wars is a ripoff of every samurai and cowboy movie ever made ((No matter how awesome Han Solo and the Battle of Hoth are)). And yes moron, films are meant to inspire which is why they are officially recognized as an art form. And how does being inspired by a movie make me an 'idiot living the American Dream ((A term you clearly don't understand anyway))?"

  • @tag1989 ((Cont. my last one was too long))

First off, Star Trek ship-to-ship combat was inspired by real submarine battles, which, unfortunately for you is the most likely image of what space combat will be like. The X-Wing would never work because it would have to be covered in thrusters in order to turn, it's much more likely that space combat will be too frigate-sized craft slugging it out with kinetic shells and torpedos than little laser machine guns.

  • @tag1989 Finally, the most feared enemy? That would be the Borg, a race of cybernetic lifeforms who's sole purpose is the assimilation of all life in the galaxy into their hive minded collective. Oh and by the way, they completed their 'quests' in Star Trek too kid, if they didn't, there would be no series, nor would there have been 11 consistently good films. For instance, they wiped said Borg to near extinction.

  • @tag1989 Meanwhile Lucas left Star Wars on a serious cliffhanger. Sure the Emperor and Vader were dead, but the Empire controlled over a quarter of the galaxy, the power structure is still around with the Grand Moffs. And even if killing the Emperor does end the Empire, then the rapid collapse of the power base would mean the beginnings of widespread chaos similar to the fall of Rome. Sectarian violence and a rise of Feudal lords who rule over their own little kingdoms on planets and moons.

  • @tag1989 Not exactly a definitive ending is it?

  • @tag1989 And before you say anything, YES, I am a colossal nerd with a lot of time on my hands ((Saturday night afterall)). Oh and that little rant there, took me a total 10 minutes to write, because I'm nerdy and OCD like that :).

  • @Mech610 why are you telling me how long it took for you to reply??? lol sad.....(worse than a nerd).

  • @tag1989 So that you wouldn't say something along the lines of, "Pfft, you spent an hour replying to a video on Youtube? Sad."

Oh and by the way kiddo, you only need to use one question mark, the other two just make you look incompetent ;). Also you're supposed to capitalize the beginnings of sentences.

I'm guessing you didn't read the rant then considering you basically have nothing left to say yes?

  • @tag1989 Oh and two things

    1. What's wrong with being a nerd?

    2. How is me telling you how long it took me to reply 'sad'? Your misspellings and pitifully obvious trolling is the truly 'sad' thing here kiddo.

  • @Mech610 LOL. talking about my spelling because you have nothing better to comment about lol FAIL.

BTW This is youtube not a university assignment. besides, why would I use such perfect spelling for a retard. And where did I say it was wrong to be nerd?

  • @tag1989 Quote, "lol sad......(Worse than a nerd)"

This implies that you think being a nerd is very low on some imagined spectrum. Also, I have nothing better to comment on because you're too incompetent to actually respond to what I said.

And you should at least stop using 'lol' after every damn sentence, it makes you sound like a 14 year old. Finally how exactly am I retarded? As far as I'm aware, I'm not mentally challenged in any significant capacity. You on the other hand...

  • @Mech610 well no it dosent really imply that at all. thats like saying aston villa are worse than man city even tho I prefer man city.

  • @tag1989 Aston Villa and Man City? The Football/Soccer teams? Sorry kiddo, but I find sports more or less pointless.

"GO [SPORTS TEAM]! SCORE A [GOAL/BASKET/HOMERUN] AGAINST THE OTHER [SPORTS TEAM]!"

    Really, the pasttime of idiots.

Oh and by the way, it totally does imply that, but you're apparently too dense to realize the meaning behind your own comment.

  • @tag1989 "Herp derp derp, my name is Tag and I think I win arguments because I don't read my opponent's responses. Aren't I so edgy and cool? YAY ME!" [/sarcasm]

  • @Mech610 LOL look at you, mad cause I dont read your comments hahahahhaha sad troll. get gud.

  • @tag1989 When did I ever hint I was mad? Also aren't you the one technically trolling here and trolling poorly I might add lol.

I'm not mad, but I am having a load of fun with you Tag. Keep it coming you sweet sweet lolcow, keep pumping out that sweet lolmilk.

Oh and by the way, when Star Wars gets several Navy, Coast Guard and a Space Shuttle named after something from it, then you can claim Star Wars is better :).

  • @Mech610 OOooooo i felt the rage from that comment :]. typical star trek fan tearing his hair out trying to defend his precious star trek series LOLOLOL.

you commented to me first so technically your the troll here....and yea im sure your having loads of fun watching me kick your ass over the net :).

LOL @ that last part you said about star wars HAHAHAHAHAHA. first of all, in order for that to offend me I acutally have to care......besides everybody knows that star wars is way better :)

  • @tag1989 You have a right to your opinion, unfortunately your opinion is also wrong kiddo. As for 'kicking my ass over the net'. Hardly my sad little friend. Not only have I shown that I'm more intelligent than you simply by virtue of being able to fucking spell, I know more about the topic we're discussing, I've thoroughly smashed you in every regard and at one point you even lost things to say short of insults. That last part is the most recognizable sign of someone whose lost a fight :).

  • @Mech610 sorry sad little troll but you lost as soon as you changed the subject about spelling.... after you did that you pretty much became boring. at least you tried to redeem yourself :) get good.

  • @tag1989 Lolwut? That's not how it works buddy. You know who needs to get good? The British, at running an Empire and not getting their sorry asses kicked by a bunch of farmers and again by a bunch of Indian peasants, that time without violence. Sure sucks to be you and your ENTIRE FUCKING COUNTRY lol.

As for the argument, you lost the instant you misspelled a word which was...Your first message lol.

  • @Mech610 il do that if you go and think about the calories you have on that cheeseburger LOL. FAT yanks.

i'd rather eat a nice peice of citrus fruit than your american glow in the dark processed elastic cheese LOLOL

  • @tag1989 Why do you assume all Americans eat cheeseburgers? That's a stereotype and you should be ashamed of yourself. As for what I said, it is true that your capital is ridiculously polluted and your shitty country still has a monarch; I.E. not a stereotype.

Oh and we may have bad processed food, but at least it's A. edible and B. we didn't get our asses kicked by a bunch of hick farmers that we were supposed to own TWICE.

  • @Mech610 Please be quiet, you're really quite annoying me.

Now excuse me, I have an tea date with the queen and I need to be high-fiving Wayne Rooney.

  • @tag1989 So, GG brave sir knight. Now why don't you go back to thinking about your country's disgusting food, poor dental hygiene and the fact that you're all still stuck in the middle ages what with your overly polluted capital and need for a monarch lol.

  • @tag1989 And you voted for Tony Blair, who I daresay, was our retarded monkey's bitch. So what does that make you? The idiots who followed an idiot following an idiot?

  • @Mech610 LOL LATE MUCH.... and wrong. when tony blair was priminister I was to young to vote. fail!

  • @tag1989 And I was too young to vote for Bush so what's your point kiddo? Still, your country voted in an idiot who followed another idiot. Congrats, you are officially America's bitch :)

  • LOL and btw I just noticed that you sent about five different msg's to me which for some reason I havent recieved in my inbox LOL. you just wasted your time m8, cause I aint reading all that boring crap hahahaha.

  • @tag1989 Seriously? You don't even realize that when someone responds to one of your comments on a video, Youtube sends you a message to your inbox to tell you? You seriously didn't know that? I didn't send you any messages dumbass, Youtube was telling you about the messages here. You really are an idiot aren't you? Like, not just a stupid person, a real and true idiot.

  • @Mech610 LOL wow so now you cant read....you even fail at being a nerd hahahaha. at least nerds can read.

Like I said (idiot) all of your messages didnt appear in my inbox. I only recieved 1 out of the 5 which you sent repeatedly. I only noticed that you sent 5 other msg's after I scrolled down the comments page and you were rambling about sum crap that I could'nt be botherd to read. *yawn*

  • @tag1989 I DIDN'T SEND YOU ANY MESSAGES YOU STUPID PIECE OF GARBAGE. Those were all notifications to let you know about the comments HERE. You're the one who should learn how to fucking read.

I commented on HERE five times. Why would I bother sending a personal message when it's so much easier to make you look like an idiot right here in front of everyone? You really need to learn how to internet or GTFO little noob.

  • @Mech610 Nah you didnt get your asses kicked by farmers. instead you got your asses kicked by boobie traps and untrained bushmen in the vietnamese jungle LOLOL. you americunts are monkeys with guns

  • @tag1989 And guess who was made America's bitch for the past three brushfire wars and forced to come along for the ride to fight those Vietcong, YOU GUYS.

How's it feel to know that every single major political problem in the world today is the fault of your crappy little 'empire'. Oh and I forgot another group of hick farmers who kicked your ass right in the aftermath of a famine you guys caused, the fucking Irish, half of my family's people. You guys suck XD.

  • “Obesity takes its toll on the US military

Besides terrorists, military officials increasingly worry about a different kind of threat — troops too fat to fight. Weight issues plague all branches of the military, from elite Marines to the Air Force, often lampooned as the “chair force” because of its many sedentary jobs. Thousands of troops are struggling to lose weight, and thousands have been booted out of the service in recent years because they couldn’t.” ~ MSN News, 12.11.2010

    ROFL!!!

  • @tag1989 I'm sorry Tag, but we here in America can't hear you from THE MOTHERFUCKING MOON.

How's your space program doing by the way? Oh wait...That's right...It's virtually nonexistent. Meanwhile, NASA recently discovered the first Earth-like planet ever spotted within it's star's habitable zone and it may very well have water on the surface and a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere according to scans. And that's after we cut they're budget...Again. What have you discovered recently?

  • @Mech610 Try goolge for the Translation: "Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall"

  • @LutzDerLurch haha nice :D german "sprichwörter"

  • @LutzDerLurch Well done, though I feel it would've been appropriate to point that at tag as well, who was being equally, if not more prideful than me.

  • @Mech610 I guess that saying apllies not only to few individuals but to the majority of mankind.

All this "we did" "We have" and "We are" hardly ever helped humanity to get somewhere, unless the "we" was meant to stand for humanity itself in the first place.

  • @LutzDerLurch Thanks for the lecture mom, but I didn't really need it. After all, it was A. he who started the whole thing and B. can't a guy just troll some little moron on the internet without having a bunch of other people jump down his throat?

I literally had that 'argument' with him while I was drunk and bored.

  • @Mech610 There are alway 2 involved in an argument. Also, it might not shine the best of lights onto someone, who trolls just for boredom.

  • @LutzDerLurch Is there any other reason to troll? Also, why should I care about what a bunch of people on the internet think about me? I'm seriously not this big of an asshole or a nationalist in real life, but when I see someone stupid it's just too good to pass up.

  • @Mech610 Hm. Personally I prefer to keep up some Courtesy on the Intenet, but I understand what you mean.

  • @LutzDerLurch Fair enough, and I try to, but I'm pretty opinionated and have some deep rooted trollish tendencies as you can see lol. I dunno, Youtube seems to bring out the worst in me. Maybe it's because the worst sorts of people tend to come out of the woodwork on here, who knows.

Coincidentally, and back on topic, did you know that ALL of the Star Trek's, in their entirety are going to be available on Netflix Instant starting in July? True story.

  • @Mech610 Oh yes...Youtube seems to be similar to that negatively charged, psychoreactive pink slime from "ghostbusters".

    Whats Netflix btw?

  • @LutzDerLurch First off, that was the single greatest comparison to anything I have read or heard all day, well done good sir, well done.

Second, I'm in the Czech Republic for a month and it's not a service here, I should have figured it wasn't in a lot of Europe, sorry for my ignorance. Netflix is a movie rental service where they mail the movies right to your door, you keep them as long as you want and send them back. Additionally they have a service to watch movies and TV shows online.

  • @Mech610 I'm glad you like it ;)

Thank you for the Info, sounds like a nice Service. Take care! :)

  • @filipre123 Exactly! Now go tell that imbecile J J Abrams that fact! That imbecile never watched Star Trek or liked it. So why the morons at Paramount would allow that reprobate to write a stinking reboot for Star Trek when it didn't need one. All that was needed were better storylines for the existing Star Trek universe. Unfortunately the imbeciles who run Star Trek now lacked the common sense to figure that simple fact out. I hope all REAL TREKKIES will boycott the next abomination film.

  • @filipre123 For instance, Star Trek is still good lol.

  • @filipre123 I totally agree. All those People bitching around whats better. Both are cool, both have their own charms.

  • @filipre123 you can say which is better though, and i can make judgement since i was born after the star trek/ star wars fads, and star wars really has stood the test of time.

if you love star wars, theres nothing wrong with that, but if you love star trek, your a geek :L

  • @tHickman95 WTF. you are telling me, people who like star wars are normal and people who like star trek are geeks / unnormal? Whats that for a statement? What is normal? If I tell you I like both, am I normal or not? Do I have to go to the coach doctor because something is wrong with me?

Okey, you do not like star trek (so what are you doing here?) I respect your opinion but respect other opinions, too.

  • @filipre123 STAR TREK talks about our Future as a species, SW was just '1930s' space opera.

  • @filipre123 well u can still compare the stories..or atleast have an opinion as to which one u think is better ! coz they belong to the same genre ...

  • @SoyMejorQueTu i agree

  • I've arranged a little star trek theme breaks remix. Please switch to my channel! Thx

  • This seriously rocks!

  • I do not give a dick about Whoopi Goldberg. She does not even show up until TNG, and she's not even really that important. Good god can we shut up about her please?

  • wow.star wars is so much better

  • i think the joke went something like, "question: why did the enterprise fly so well? Answer: because it always had a fresh supply of spock-plugs." it's a play on words because some persons pronounce "spark" in a way which, to some other persons, sounds like "spock".

  • It was never a theremin.

  • @BlueCougar

I actually came here wondering if it was a theramin.

  • Woman singing, or a theremin?

  • @kitchenflails exactly what i was thinking.

  • he's dead Jim

  • Damn it, I'm a doctor not a bricklayer!

  • At 0:56 someone is going to be beamed up :P

  • Startrek inspiring generations for well, generations, Sallyjosie's comment really said it best. I love all things Trek, new old, I never take sides in a Kirk vs Pikard fight they both have their good qualities, but Kirk did have more sex with aliens than stuffy old Pikard :-) the new movie was awesum I thought as well, I didnt expect it to be in line with anything, I watched it as a new take on the series, die hard fans of the original do nothing but complain about inaccuracys, just enjoy it!

  • I love this theme, but I always think it sounds like Captain Kirk should be lounging with some exotic-space drink, advertising a space cruise, and saying like, "Why not come aboard the Enterprise. We have............"

    Very nice theme though.

  • He's dead Jim!

  • I have mixed feelings about the movie, like it's hard to live up to the awesomeness of the original, but all the same, they could have done a better job.

  • KAAAAAAHHHHHHNNN!!!!!!!

  • 0:30

  • man, the alien dude at the end scared the shit outa me.

  • Loulie Jean Norman was the operatic voice in this recording. She was later removed from the mix so that the producer, Gene Roddenberry, could avoid paying her royalties.

  • the star trek theme has never failed to make me giggle. man, do i love that yowling!

    live long and prosper!

  • the new movie ruled

  • @starman47611 the new movie sucked big hairy vulcan balls.

  • @starman47611

That's because the Story was based on Star Wars ;)

  • @starman47611 yes but if they used the enterprise a refit that was in the early drafts, i would have had a heart attack

  • @getsomelead i gusse

  • @starman47611 Amen to that brother, although they could have done without the destruction of Vulcan.

  • @Drew47AT ya if i could live someware in st it would be ds9 bajorai or vulcan

  • @starman47611 Hmm, sounds nice.... anyway, I have a possible idea to restore Vulcan. What if the black hole fired into its core merely transported it to another dimension and it takes another black hole in that dimension to take it back into the universe. Crazy idea maybe, but what do you think?

  • @Drew47AT i think it might just work it would be a slim chance but it would make for a great second movie thx and great idea

  • FEATURING THE DEZI ARNAZ BAND!

  • Thanks for the memories. I was in lower Primary School then.

  • Well. We all know who the better first officer, and who is the better doctor, Don't We?

(Hint: DeForrest Kelly and Leonard Nimoy)

  • I've never been one for the Kirk vs Picard debate, as both are excellent captains who bring something unique to the table, but judging by Generations alone, Kirk wins. In the first ten minutes of the film, he successfully mounts a rescue in an underequipped ship and lays down his life to save it. All his predecessor manages to do by himself is find out the villian's likely target and then fail to stop him.

  • Who's that alien guy at the end?

  • Comment removed

  • @MickyMr95 Sorry... had to fix that ten seconds after I posted it... the First Federation was from one of the novels; it just always reminded me of that episode...

Anyway, that was Balok (or rather his alter ego), from the episode: The Corbomite Maneuver

  • @MickyMr95 That was a facade used to replace the unimpressive childlike appearance Balok (I hope I spelled that right). Imagine an evil Opie Taylor- that wouldn't scare anyone. Look for the episode called "The Corbomite Maneuver..."

  • The Doctor Who theme is better ;) Just sayin'

  • archer sucks.....

  • reminds me of when star trek was my main interest and i listened to this over and over trying to find somewhere on the web where i could watch it for free XD

  • I never liked star trek, but I love the theme tunes.

  • "space, the final frontier, these are the voyages of the starship, ENTERPRISE, its 5 year missions, to explore new worlds, to seek out new life, new civilization.. TO BOLDLY GO WERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE!"

those lines are just truly epic. if i had some type of humor to add it, i would add " to boldy go were no man has gone before, even if it means getting shot'

but i would never add or take away any of these lines, EPIC X 10 = STAR TREK

  • i saw the kirk in the series, then in star trek XI, and when i saw kirk then i was like "NO WAI THATS NOT THE KIRK I SAW"

  • it hurts my ears bad quality

  • I grew up watching STAR TREK, loved the series

  • reminds me when i was a kid every sunday we'd eat fried chicken an watch star trek
