A word of advice, leave all your expectations at home, because only then you will be able to live in the moment and really experience Cuba!

The song used was "Hasta Siempre", by Carlos Puebla. Another tip: learn the lyrics cause it is the most played song in Cuba for the people who participate in Brigades. Actually, an anthem, praising the memory of Che Guevara.
I hope your experience there is as memorable as mine was.

Also learn The International :) at least one verse, becasue you may hear it a few times and it feels weird when you don't know the lyrics :)

I was there too, in January of that same year. I remember the labor hours, collecting oranges near the "Campamento Julio Mella". The experience in Cuba is unforgetable! I was participating in the South American Brigade. Thanks for posting it!

It was unforgetable time for sure. We were situated in Ciego de Avila but spent some time at the Julio Mella camp as well. I loved every second of the trip! I hope to go back soon. Cheers comrade!
