I live on a farm, if cows aren't milked, they get really sick, get in a lot of pain. I do not milk them when they have their calves though. PETA can fuck off.

Cows do not produce milk without being pregnant and giving birth. The Calf is shot in the head 1-2 days after being born and then pipes are attached to the udders of the mother which is then sucked dry. Cows are then raped by artificial insemination and it starts all over again.

This isn't just limited to ice cream. PETA will soon also try this on milk, butter, cheese and any kind of dairy. Why can't PETA at least find a different alternative like coconut milk, which is being used increasingly for dairy products already. Can you picture females being able to support the ENTIRE dairy industry with their milk instead of cows.
I don't know if you know this but cows give milk even if they are not pregnant or with a young calf. They have been bred for thousands and thousands of years to give milk all the time. If a cow is not milked twice a day the milk starts to ferment inside the udder witch is very painful. Maybe today's methods of mass production of milk are not the best, but using cow's milk does no harm to the cow. Ask any Hindu why they worship cows and see what someone who has actually seen a cow has to say.

The reason cows are more commonly milked than other animals is because the produce more milk than the average animal because of its four stomachs. People are not going to stop eating meat any time soon, true. Why? Because they are either blinded by the custom of eating meat (growing up with it without thinking what they are actually doing, like I was) or they just don't give a fuck about the animals. Again, it's more healthy NOT eating meat, it can give you heart disease and cancer and lot of other unnecessary diseases. Not eating meat is better for the environment, us humans and the animals. We are not omnivores, we are herbivores/frugivores capable of being scavengers. We can survive perfectly without eating dead corpses. Our canine teeth aren't as sharp or long as those of real omnivores. Even the Gorilla, a herbivore, has longer and sharper teeth than us. Those canine teeth are for ripping and tearing fruits and nuts, try to rip off the flesh of an animal with your teeth, you won't succeed. This isn't just limited to ice cream. PETA will soon also try this on milk, butter, cheese and any kind of dairy. Why can't PETA at least find a different alternative like coconut milk, which is being used increasingly for dairy products already. I don't know if you know this but cows give milk even if they are not pregnant or with a young calf. They have been bred for thousands and thousands of years to give milk all the time. If a cow is not milked twice a day the milk starts to ferment inside the udder witch is very painful. Maybe today's methods of mass production of milk are not the best, but using cow's milk does no harm to the cow. Ask any Hindu why they worship cows and see what someone who has actually seen a cow has to say.

Reading the comment from Mattie2013 when he says human mothers only make milk for babies and cows do it all the time. They don't do it all the time. Like every other mammal they only do it for their young. The milk is then taken from the mother so the calf can't have it and if he's a boy he's sold for veal. This is just a fact.
I agree this idea is impractical and won't happen, but I it highlights the issues of dairy farming that so many people are clearly ignorant of.

ok for the veggeis here the farms for your eggplants to grow 1000's of acers of animal habitat is destroyed and the animals that lived there starved to death so whats it going to be an animal dying for an hour or a herd of animal dying for a month just becuase you are a veggy doesnt mean you aren't still killing animals so dont eat anything :)
