  • How long did the whole process take?

  • He he he lifting truck party... He is really funny

  • Lol his voice is freaking funny.. :)

  • wait hold up was that a train horn in the right front by the headlight?

  • do you really have to take out all the brackets wires and stuff like you said at the begging of the video .. im gunu do this to my dodge so i would like to know .. because it dont seem like something that has to be done .. but i could be wrong

  • wow looks stupid with small tires

  • Haha your hilarious, I love the video!!! Thank you for all the information aswell!!

  • what are you doing hill billy

  • What did you do about the nerf bars. Mine are sitting low after my body lift and they look like crap.

  • @6tortured6soul6 in the video he put on a set of brackets to lift the bumper/s

  • Did you do a 2.5" or 3" body lift?

  • chughes44 why are you acting 5 he put a body lift on truck and it looked damn good too i agree with frogaliscious i have done body lifts on 6 of my trucks and it is a 100% fact that it DOSE NOT change the ride it dont matter if its not to deal with the suspension, shocks, springs, tires, or sway bars it will not affect the ride at all ride frog man dont worry bout him he prolly paid somone to do his lmao he dose needa get his finger outta his butt big time he could prolly scratch his damn lung LMAO

  • @3:40 cheech was doing a voice over

  • great how to guys. five stars for the harbor frieght grinder. Too many people assume its junk but my grinder and electric impact are 4 years old and made it through a house fire. it would be great if you had a how to on the 1st gen durango.

  • i wanna do a 2 inch body lift on a ranger how hard would that be?

  • @fordpride101 easy as taking a shit.

  • people who hate body lifts have not rode in one that has been done right, if you do one right you can not even tell

  • Do you have to cut the bumper thing on all trucks, i want one for my ram but i dont have a cutting tool like that. My in law is a mechanic and can weld, do you think we could do it? thanks guys, and nice video

  • @schausten101 Body lifts are easy but time consuming. You do need to cut the bumper. You can get a cheap grinder at Harbor Freight for like $25.

  • @frogaliscious what size body lift did you put on it?

  • @schausten101 Do what I'm doing and do the body lift then have custom bumpers built!

  • Body lifts are for those who like horrible ride quality and body problems down the road.

    Go to hell.

  • @WestCarolina1861 Even someone with an accent as thick as mine can recognize someone who's sister is also their mother... and the resulting low IQ. Body mounts do not connect to the suspension. How exactly do they effect ride quality?

  • @frogaliscious

A simple Google search would provide the answers you're looking for. You mad bro?

Seriously though, nice truck. I just felt like doing a little trolling the other day.

  • @WestCarolina1861 Nah, I'm not mad. It's like crank phone calls- you just play along and crank the caller.

  • @frogaliscious because of the bushings, and the higher center of gravity.....If you thought about shit before u typed your comment i wouldn't have to explain it to you. try removing the stock bushings on your vehicle and see if it rides different. tires aren't connected to the suspension, yet they effect ride, so does alignment and a shit ton of other stuff. i wouldnt worry about his IQ, because you a fucking idiot yourself.

  • @chughes44 My poor little rectum fingered friend. What you type is nonsense. I don't need to "try" anything, I have already done it. A bodylift has nothing to do with tires or suspension. The cab bolts to the frame with hard plastic bushings (as you call them) already. Adding in a spacer does not effect that. The stock suspension is left intact to provide the same ride it always has. Pull your finger out of your butt next time you decide to type something.

  • @frogaliscious ? are you twelve. I dont really care what you say, a body lift does change the ride of the vehicle. it is 100% fact

  • @chughes44 I could be 2 years old and wouldn't change the fact that you don't know what you're talking about. I have installed many bodylifts, as well as having ran one on my current truck for the last 4 years. The ride stays the same. Period.

  • @chughes44 Im not the biggest fan of body lifts but they DO NOT change the ride quality (if you make sure to tighten them down) And if you're so certain that they change the ride, then explain how.

  • @PUTaGLOCKinIT ? are you retarded.... look at my previous posts.

  • @frogaliscious body mounts can be made of a variety of different materials meant to just slightly improve ride. very small effect but its possible.

  • @frogaliscious Their rubber half the time and absorb vibrations and minor bumps

  • Haha your the one who has cletus's in your ass and bubba's in your mouth with skretch beating off in the corner watching. I had to stop the video the first time watching it cause I was laughing to much at your redneck accent. Go paint a confederate flag on your truck and while your at it put in a Dukes of Hazzard horn in ya fuckin idiot.

  • @ckehler Why all the hate? Did you get raped by a white guy in prison?

  • @ckehler black trash city slicker.

  • @saved03112010

Body lifts ain't dangerous but hard on body mount... I'll tell you what's dangerous, putting lift blocks on the front... That'd be a good way to die... Lift kit failure

  • "That's Cletus's truck der, thats bubbas in whate and thats uh skretchs right there at the end". The title should say "Dumbass Redneck Body Lifts Vol. 1"

  • @ckehler Why don't you make one titled "Why I like to type with my brother's cock in my mouth"?

  • @ckehler You should probably kill yourself.

  • nice voice man

  • steering extensions. i heard people not doin them others do. those hard to do> im workn with a 12 year old truck here

  • @billybeeer1 I won't lie to you, they can be a pain the butt. Spray the fasteners with PB Blaster the day before you start. And loosen the steering shaft bolts before you lift the body, that will help pull it apart.

  • Holy tornader jesus! :D aw man i say holy jesus lord but aint never herd that right there haah

  • This is THE best video I've seen on youtube, much respect, kept me laughing and truck looks good man. I'm about to do a 3'' body lift on a 92 f150, hope it turns out as good as yours and is as much fun

  • I heard that body lifts are bad? like they aren't safe or something. is this true? if so should i avoid buying a truck with a body lift on it?

  • @saved03112010 they can be hard on body mounts

  • Nice all dodges, its the only way to go. Dodges Rule!

  • what size tires did you put on?

  • @EandK3 35s

  • You didnt explain the bumper cutting, what was that for?

  • @extreek Clearance for the lifted bumper brackets.

  • HOLY TORNADER JEEZZIS!

  • I installed this same kit (Performance Accessories) on my Chevy Silverado...Looks great as an end result, but beware everybody...rusty bolts are not your friend!

  • This dude is super funny

  • world class fucking rednecks gotta lovem

  • dang i wanted one of these but im not sure i could do it by myself and i dont know many people that are bright enough to help me. i wonder how much it typically costs to get this done?

  • @trent1234108 A shitload!

  • "its okay, you've done stupid stuff before, its alright, it aint your first time" hell yea

  • hahah you folks crack me up!!

  • hahah you folks crack me up!!

  • thank you for the great tutorial, thinking about a body lift now instead of a suspension lift on my 98 F150 4x4!

  • did ya have to move aney gass lines or wires when ya jacked it up ??

  • How long was total install? Did you finish it with gap guards?

  • YEAAA! Pennsylvania!

  • i wondered where cheech went (3:38)

(5:10) (5:21) thats what he said

  • truck looks good. good job buddy

  • nice trucks you guys got there i was wonderin can i do a 3 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift on my ram without havin to change anything like brake lines driveshafts er anything like that?

  • I still want a truck but I honestly couldn't afford to keep it filled

  • what kind of bolt would you use for a 1999 ram 2500?

  • WHAT ABOUT THE STEERING COLUM .. WONT IT GET PULLED BECAUSE ITS ATTACHED TO THE BODY

  • Awesome Vid I laughed my ass off , nice info and insight on how to do a lift.

  • holy tornado jesus...good vid

  • do you have to do anything for the streering ?

  • lol the guy with the green hat still has the tags flopin around

  • you should look into gap guards and how many inch body lift was it u put on?

  • good video

  • Is there any nuts that go on the body mount bolts? Or are they just threaded up in there??

  • Seems simple but time consuming

  • nice horn

  • thats an awsome vid! that licsense plate part looked HARD, but now i know how to do it Thanks man!!!

  • what to expect, haha this is considered a man's pregnacy. Woman say it is so bad, Well this is AWESOME.

  • i put a 3" suspension lift on my truck cause i dont like the way a body lift looks. but its probable cheaper.

  • do you know any sites for a lift for my 1991 dodge dakota

  • wow man I installed a 5.5 in susp lift into my 04 ram 1500 and it was way easier than this.... but guess what.. its not big enough for me so now i have to bite the bullet and do the body lift as well.... shit

  • @CJorundson I hear that. This was my buddies truck and I'm pretty sure he's planning a suspension lift eventually. I've got a 3" body lift plus a 6" suspension lift on my truck.

  • @frogaliscious thx for the vid too... now i know what to expect, and tools ill need! may the mud gods shine down on you!

  • Great commentary buddy, keep it up.

  • herken derken dekern derk?

  • @whiteout24 oh yah, you betcha!

  • Seems easy enough just takes all weekend

  • Great video. Thnx. What are the crush blocks for? And how is the guy so smart he can put on the license plate but he can't take tags off a hat?

  • @xoxemoneyxox The crush blocks help support the bed.

  • Great video, going to buy the kit after watching this video, I put the 2" leveling kit from suspension connection on my truck myself only $74 and some tax. Only question, do you have to pull the fuse or any fuses that are linked to the air bags? It would have been fun to do a video for the leveling kit, but I cuss to much, LOL.

  • @osanrugger14 It's always good to pull the airbag fuse when you're removing the bumper.

  • what kit is this???

  • @gokartsRfun Performance Accessories

  • holy tornada jesus lmfao your epic man!

  • Please put this guy on a Blue Collar comedy tour haha

  • Cool vid. Thanks! Im lifting my 04 4x4 dodge soon. this should help me and save me $

  • if you have a manual transmission if you do a body lift will it lower the shifter?

  • You older guys are still pretty hip haha.

  • well if your gonna go through all the trouble. why not just get a suspension lift or take it to a shop and make them do it? haha

  • hey i got a 97 2 wd ecss i am goin for a true pre runner style on with the two in. body lift i am goin to use steel pipe from work an goin to use coil spring spacers an blocks in the back for hopefully a total of around 5 inches of lift what do you think anout this set up? an i am a welder an plan on makin tube front an rear bumpers for air tanks any ideas to make it better?

  • hello, I'm from Brazil. got 2500 dodge ram heavy duty 2008 model. I have to modify the support of the front bumper?? really need to cut the chassis?

I could pass measures to block all "lift ""??? I modified the suspension on mine, put a lift of 4 inches. I want to lift the cabin with this body lift too. I'm using tires 37x12.5 r17. I intend to use 40x13.5 r17.

congratulations on your work. I hope your answer.

    thanks

  • hey man how did you put ur front and back bumper back on because i had a local shop do my body lift and the front bumper is tilted about a half inch and the back has a 2and a half inch gap inbetween it

  • hey man i just askin ur opinion, i got a z71 and its got a 3inch body lift but i was thinkin bout buyin 4 inch blocks for the rear and torsion key for 3 inches in front

you think thats good idea im just tryin to save money haha aint got all that green stuff

  • @rradford43 Lot's of guys run setups like that. I'm not a big fan of rear blocks, but I'm sure you'll be fine.

  • is it a 2 or 3 inch kit i heard you have to do alot more mods for the 3inch kit

  • @D86shanks 3" kit. Came with everything necessary to do the lift.

  • Iv've got a 1999 Nissan Frontier, and I'm thinking about getting a 3" body lift for it. Would you recommend doing it myself, or having pros do it. I know a little bit about trucks, but not a wholelot. Thanks

  • @1992Tpoe Go for it!

  • lol nice vid sharp truck, 1 question though, when u put like a 3 inch body lift do yuo gotta lengthen any of that stuff like ur steering column or any of the wires u said u have to disconnect? or does that usually reach?

  • @FrankfortHigh None of the wiring needed lengthening. The steering shaft did need lengthening, but that was included in the kit.

  • @frogaliscious cool deal man i always wondered about that

  • ive searched high and low for the damn bumper relocation brackets and cant find them anywhere. i have an 04 ram as well, and i finished the lift, but now the bumpers sit 3 inches lower than the truck! help!!!!!!!!

  • @mcfart69 Have you tried contacting PA? Every kit I have done (3) have included the brackets.

  • ive searched high and low for the damn bumper relocation brackets and cant find them anywhere. i have an 04 ram as well, and i finished the lift, but now the bumpers sit 3 inches lower than the truck! help!!!!!!!!

  • woot rednecks rule

  • @jesteresi yes sir

  • with the body lift kits is it gonna affect the mounting of a front grill guard with my be slighty lower?

  • @Kilou3 You'll need to do some custom fab work to mount up the guard.

  • im rly new to this. if u lift the body doesnt it raise the sterring as well. ?? or does the engine and all stay set

  • @clyse88 It does raise the steering, but the engine stays put. The necessary adapters are included in the kit.

  • are the gap guards worth it to your?

  • Ok well i have a question, i am doing a 3inch on my K1500 GMC. It should be very simmilar to this correct? except for bolt positions. That and do i need to weld the blocks into place right away or can i get away with driving it somewhere that will for me? sorry for the dumb questions im 18 and this is my first body lift. I can use all the help i can get

  • @ztodd15 You'll be fine just driving over to a welding shop.

  • what kind of receiver hitch do you have to install, the hitch i have now mounts to the frame and bumper. if i move them apart from one and other i don't believe it will work. it looks like the frame tube will sit down to far from the bumper. any suggestions. would have any pics of the back bumper with a hitch installed on it. thanks

  • @hbessey817 I just have the mopar receiver. The PA lift came with all the appropriate bracketry to accomodate the receiver, frame, and bumper.

  • Will i have to relocate the exhaust tips to line the up with the rear bumper or witl the bumper stay in the same place? on the 09 the bumper is molded so that the exhaust tips are inlay-ed in the bumper. that's the only i am not sure of. didn't know if you have any ideas? thanks

  • Great video! You did a great job!

Have you found any steering stabilizers for this truck? Any tricks to make them ride better with big tires? I am running 10in lift and 37 inch tires on my 2002 1500.

    Thanks

    Dan

  • @danimal187 Fabtech makes one. I don't know the part number.

  • a leveling kit for the front would finish your truck really good ... nice truck

  • @jackass22x It already has a 2" tbar crank.

  • would a body lift like this require any driveshaft, transfer case, transmission, brakeline, or steering modifications?

  • @dconner50 No to driveshaft and tcase. You will need to make/install some relocation brackets (possibly) for things like brake line manifolds, trans lines, etc. You may need to extend your steering shaft to accomodate the lift.

  • I have a 84 dodge w150 and i have 4 inch rear suspension lift on the truck, and i intend to do a 3-4 inch body lift is there anything that i need to consider ?

  • @DaBull3t1 If you go with a PA kit, they have everything you need.

  • HEY CAN I DO THIS WITH MY 95 CROWN VICTORIA 3 INCH BODY LIFT BECAUSE IM TRYING TO FIT 26 INCH RIMS I REALLY NEED TO KNOW........

  • @TEXASWEEDMAN1 I have no idea.

  • @TEXASWEEDMAN1 if you do, i will find you and slap you. thats probably the #1 faggotiest thing anyone can do to a car

  • im installing a three inch body lift on an 02 ranger is this gonna be harder than your truck? im not gonna pay someone else, that costs like 500 bucks so i gotta do it myself

  • @kuriencary25 I've never done one on a ranger so I can't say... but I imagine it's pretty much the same procedure. Just go for it!

  • From what I've heard this guy is a 100% RED NECK, probably racist too!

  • @monkeypb so whats your point ??? you must be a true monkey !!!

  • @monkeypb That's uncalled for.

  • Lol clitus

  • texas

  • so i been looking for a body lift for my dodge do i need to buy extra parts like the bumber brakets i seen you cutting the bumber why were you doing that thanks any help would be greatly appreciated

  • @pinoytat93 no extra parts needed. You have to massage the mounts so the bottom radius of the bumper clears the frame a bit. Nothing major though. Ten minutes of work.

  • Yea did u have to buy any things els, like springs, wires, ect.

  • @SILENTKILL1111 nope

  • when you installed the body lift did you have to get new longer springs or shocks or anything?

also ive heard when putting on a body lift you have to also put on a leveling kit...is this true or can i just get a body kit and be done with it?

  • getting a 3" lift for my 88 s-10 blazer any thing i should be ready for? thank you.

  • @mrcarter117 Just be ready to spend a weekend on it.

  • @frogaliscious did the lift 95, wrangler 4pm - 2am school night lol

  • "Holy Tornado Jesus" I think your my new best friend

  • how long did you take to do the entire lift?

i was thinking about lifting my truck but i dont wanna start it then not be able to drive for a week

  • I was considering putting a 3in on my 03 1500 dodge and I was going to do it myself. And it looks farely easy except for the bumper part. Why did you need to cut it?

  • @555Wayne IT HAS TO BE CUT FOR A BRACKET THAT RAISES THE BUMPER. AS STOCK THE BUMPER IS MOUNTED TO THE FRAME. BUT THIS BEING ONLT A BODY LIFT THE FRAME IS STILL IN THE SAME PLACE AS IT WAS SO YOU HAVE TO USE A BRACKET TO MAKE THE BUMPER RAISE TO THE PLACE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE FRONT OF THE BODY
