Remember those hideous rubber J-Pads that linemen wore?? God damn they would stink after a week or two.. and holy cow when did the Orange Bowl have fake turf??? I have no memory of the Orange Bowl being anything but real grass.
Thanks for posting the original broadcast and not some crappy grainy film. I want to experience it the way it was viewed by the people who were living then.
I thought Michigan always wore gold pants like they do now. Also the wings on their helmets look a little darker than they do now. Perhaps this is due to the quality of the film and the time the game was played (at night).
damn this was frustrating to watch. at least our defense shut em down in the first half. if our offense had just been better we would've won that game.
loved the ou wishbone back in the day..thanks for posting

Felt like it did then. Like Michigan was really not going to score. They were a damned good offensive football team that year too.

Davis and Littrel just about gave that game away.

MU wouldn't have scored in 40 quarters without that fumble. Joe Washington - WOW!

If Oklahoma would have held on to the ball and not fumbled, it would have been at least 21-0.

Arkensas State and Arizona State should have played in that game. They were the only undefeated teams that year.
