Hi, it sounds fantastic. My dad had 2 or 3 when I was a kid, a 2.0 convertible and a 1600 saloon. I can't remember ever being in them though. I had an MG Midget as my first car and dad's always had classics. I miss driving them and I am now looking for a Vitesse or GT6. What have you done to the engine? It sounds really quick the way it's going through the gears there!
@NickG24 Ah, yes... the engine. Well, I seem to have done everything. It returned 180bhp at the wheels on the dyno while it was being tuned, was rated at 210 at the crank (although that's always an estimate).
It has tripple webber 40DCOE's it's got a 2.5 crank and max overbore (2.7), compression around 10.5:1 lightened flywheel and a fairly warm cam....
Oh, and yes... that did of course fry every other part of the transmission, so those are now mostly TR6.
@Bevoin1970 To be fair, you won't find a "standard" one sounding quite like that, but yes.... it's lovely... I might try putting the camera inside next time to see if less wind noise can be achieved without muffling the sound too much.
I was wondering if it was a bit long, but hey... it's my video, people can stop watching when they get bored... but yes, I think that landrover driver was a bit surprised at 6:40ish..

I just love the camera position, and the sounds of the Vitesse speak for themselves, just such a gorgeous sound to my ears anyway.
Only trouble is you reach a point and the wind noise takes over... damn it! :-)
At low end speeds your fine, sounds brill, and doesn't appear to miss a beat.
Quite lively aren't they for a very heavy old car. Good job you didn't lose your camera around 6:44.. ha ha
