as far as the whole "Getting over your rejection letter from West Point" goes...I know of quite a few people who got into both the Naval Academy and West Point, I don't know anyone who applied to both, and only got into USNA. But I do know of several people who applied to USNA, USAFA, and USMA, and only got into either USMA or USAFA...I'm not going to try to argue which Academy is harder to get into. But in my opinion, based on what I have seen, it appears that USNA is harder to get into.
2006 was the last year the Black Knights scored a touchdown against Navy, and the 2009 Navy win makes 8 games in a row that Army has lost to Navy. That is the longest streak of any team between Navy & Army.

1. manpower (high enlistment rate, more soldiers than sailors)
2. gunpower( field arillery, air defense systems, and armored systems have high caliber weapons then that of equivilent navy systems)
3. efficiency- the navy uses an extreme amount of fuel compared to army, yet has a smaller workload than that of army
i could go on, but i dont feel like argueing more with a 13 year old
there can be an Army without the navy, but there can't be a navy without the Army
