  • Nice video again, I'm sorry to hear about you'r betta I have only lost to fish since I got back into it one I kn9w was stress, my fault I had to fix a leek and a cat fish passed the other was a gourami and I have no idea what killed him. went to bed he was fin got was dead, anyway nice vids keep it up.

  • sorry about your fish Ross

  • Bogwood can also carry dieseses so I'd defently clean out the whole tank before adding anymore fish. Sorry to hear the bad news:(

  • aw dude that sucks i hope you get better

  • Oh bugger sorry for your loss!

  • I meant to say blooming

  • Nooooooooooooo. He was one of the most loved of your fish. And, on another note. I did not no he had won a medal.? But, that probably doesn't help. I really liked that little guy. I must say though, your other fish tank is looking really good, the plants are just booming.

  • did you boil the wood

  • So sorry for your loss, especially right before Christmas. Just subscribed and started watching your videos and am learning a lot. I got a Betta (Barclay) just a few weeks ago and I'm already in love. They thought he was a veiltail, but it turns out he's a crown and gorgeous (not show quality for sure, but beautiful to me. I've always had such bad luck with fish - I'm really working to do it right this time. Again, sorry for your loss. Hope you have a Merry Christmas in spite of it.

  • @Fishplanebusmusiclol They need lots of cover and 5 g each even with that regular water changes are a MUST no matter how many plants they make the same ammount of wast that a 5inch goldfish poduces

  • I'm sorry for your loss. Bettas are one of my favourites. I've had a few now.

I don't know if female bettas would work in that tank, though. They can get a bit rough with each other if you don't have a group of them to even out the aggression. I have 6 of them myself in a 10 gallon and that seems to work fine. I also have a male in a separate 5 gallon.

Good luck with your tank! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it! :D

  • Sorry to hear you lost one buddy. Participating in the fish hobby has a down side of eventually losing some fish. Been there myself several times, not a lot of fun when that happens! Take a look at my tank, if you get a chance to do so sometime. I subbed you too by the way, so feel free to return the favor, if you like. If you choose to sub me, you will enjoy viewing all the items I have already on hand, as well as what will come ahead. I post quite often. Again, sorry about the loss.

  • sorry for ur loss dude why dont you try getting a new one and put some cory cats with him i hear they do good together

  • hiya mate ur from newcastle aye ?just a quik question. when ur cylcing yor tank what do u use ? how do u do it ?

  • Dude Ross that SUCKS! I've had it happen to me too. It's not nice and its a really shitty disease. Hey you gave him a good tank and he had a good life. He always looked happy and healthy and was the brightest red ever :D Sorry for your loss, and i hope you get a nice new betta but they are truly in replaceble fish. :(

  • nice channel!

check out mine if you got time

  • is the substrate in the tank all gravel

  • sorry, ross. he was a lovely fish. my platy perry just died from swim bladder. it is best when they die to end their pain rather than suffer.

  • Aw I'm sorry to hear :/ Be careful with female bettas, since they need a minimum of 10 gallons in a group of no less than 4.

  • probably because of old age. dont worry. even some killies that cost you a lot can only last for 1 year

  • More than likely it was probably old age, betta don't like paticularly long, but you should get another one! or even a paradise fish!

  • Sorry for your loss, mate. He was my favourite on your channel. :(

  • sorry to hear about him man R.I.P the greatest betta that has ever lived and i realy loved his colour i need to get a betta myself sorry again

  • :(sorry man

  • NNNNOOOOO NOT THE FIGHTING FISH I LOVE FIGHTING FISH :'( did you have a name for him ross? A.K.A legend

  • Sorry that really sucks!

  • I'm very sorry. You know how deliate these guys are......

  • Put some Rasbora Galaxy in there or dario dario they are small but beautiful fish!

  • @TheFloxz Goe flox goe bezig

    beautiful fishies

  • Rossi Hello, I am very sorry for what happened to your betta, but I think you should also consider the possibility of a natural death because, to my knowledge, the life cycle of this species rarely exceeds 2 years. I have two betta splendens in two different tanks, and both just over a year and then would have 15 months of age. So once you inform of what will happen in the months to come!

  • @apulia75 I have had different Beta's live for over 5 years when they caught something the same as Rossi's one I had for 7 years...

  • Lol Ross

  • hay ross i went on fishtankTV and invited you as a friend my name is Giuseppe Masciopinto just so u know

  • im soo sory i dont think it was your wood i think it as maybe exess nirite this vid has given me more respect for betta i might put a single male one in a 33 gallon(after the unexpected ammonia spike) if over

  • @fabihanski thanks...no it definitely wasn't nitrite, I tested the water just before he died and all the ammonia's, nitrite and nitrate were at 0

  • @TheRossiboy oh... well i bet your really sad u should do lots of fun things to get your mind of... well this btw did he have a name im sure we would all likw to know

  • @TheRossiboy I just lost one of my betta fry to parasites. I didn't catch it in time to save him, but I treated the tank with coppersafe and the other fry that had parasites have almost no signs of parasites anymore. Always good to have a few meds on hand! Like your vids, very informative. Subbed. By the way just wondering how you made out with your cory fry? Did any make it to adult?

  • Hey Ross! Meant to show u a vid of my betta that died too. U should check it out also if u'd like. One question, I recently got a driftwood which I broke into peices and it's been in my tank for 2 weeks, it still floats. So how can I make it so where it won't float?

  • Sorry for your loss, don't be too sad! i am sure that your betta is happy to have a great owner like you! (:

  • sorry bout the loss bud, but thanks for the info on the seachem flourish ion.

  • sorry about your loss i know how you feel

  • Sorry to hear that man! :( check out my new Christmas video

  • lost my big apisto to dropys....its a killer. Have to put it down.

  • Rip betta.

If your thinking about getting zebra danios it wouldnt get crouded if you get three

  • get dwarf puffers

  • Sorry to hear Ross, Myself and my betta,Paul, send our deepest condolences. Don't blame yourself, as the experienced fish keeper you are, you know how delicate fish can be, and how easy it is for something to go wrong in the tank unnoticed. I must say as well, that I am impressed as to the lengths you are going to, to ensure the safety of any future fish. Cheers.

  • That sucks man my betta died of dropsy recently, sad :( but ya just gotta keep moving on :)

  • Hey ross, sorry about the betta :/ maybe you could get a species of dwarf rainbows in the tank, just a suggestion :)

  • Well, sorry for the loss, but bettas dont live that long anyways, so dont feel too bad. instead of fighting fish why not try some ramirez chiclids. beutiful fish ok with plants and not too fiesty.

  • Sorry to here about your loss it could be sap from your wood, I would get rid of it, if you are thinking of starting again, plus whats the PH in your tank at the moment ?

  • what is that crypt..... i got the same one and i would like to know the species. also sorry about the loss bud..

  • 15 gal looks awesome and I think that iron you got does work.... I use it myself..bummer about fish good luck cleaning tank

  • sorry to hear about the betta Ross , wierd coincidence mine died yesterday aswell had him for about a year and a half aswell , he was my wee favorite fish

  • I'd go with the females with guppies, that my setup

  • That doesn't look like aquatic safe wood. It probably has sap in it. Boiling it for weeks wouldn't make it safe either as it will still rot and pollute the water.

  • Sorry to hear about the loss. It's always a bummer to loose fish, but the tank looks good

  • Comment removed

  • ssssssssssshriiiiiiiiimp taaaaaaaaaank

  • dang dude everyone that enters a contest has a fish die lol i entered my old powder brown tang in mikes contest a while back then the hurricane came lol

  • @IIJAMiiE I think the life span is 1-3 years but I had a betta that lived for 5 years and he lived in a little half gallon tank

  • I bought décor for my female betta and she got really sick...and died.

  • Get bumble bee gobies :D

  • Dang that sucks man

  • boil all things in acid!... ok that may be a little extreme. Sucks when bettas die. One of the few fish with genuine personality.

  • my fish dont swim allot in my tank they hide all the time :( theyve been doing this for 3 months now

  • Im sorry to hear about your betta. the same thing happened to me a few months ago.

  • sorry about that ross :( stuff like this makes me inspect my betta more and now I know to watch out for. :(

  • Ross, what is the average age for the Betta? Maybe he was getting on a bit and his immune system wasn't up for the fullest. You learn from your mistakes,

  • get some dwarf puffers :D you can put 3-5 in that tank

  • @19901990777 really? I'll have to research it a bit :)

  • @TheRossiboy after doing research you'll see that that is a load of rubbish

  • @TheRossiboy dont get dwarf puffers they arent as exciting as they sound i got some and they were cool for the first few days then they were boring

  • @TheRossiboy if u do pt dwarf puffer you need exelent filtration and only 1 for every 5 gallons

  • @19901990777 noooo dwarf puffers are aggressive and require a 20 gallon at least

  • @WetTropix No they do not in a well planted tank they only need 7l-10l

  • @19901990777 well ya in a well planted tank where they cant see each other ya

  • @WetTropix that tank is planted for 3-5 he will be ok if he got them

  • @19901990777 Dwarf Puffers do make a lot of waste though! You'll need a really effective filter. I was considering buying a Dwarf Puffer for my tank but went for Tiger Barbs instead. :)

  • Sorry about your loss bud

  • @bm20197 thanks alot man :)

  • Ross, that's a complete tragedy. I know how it feels, my Kissing fish's mate died, and I had it for a little under 15 years, I don't think I mentioned that I had another Kissing fish in my vids. Thanks for teaching me about that disease, I'll look out for it in my fish, and i'll have a better insight about drift wood before throwing them in my tanks.

  • @9BigGeorge yeah...it was very unexpected, the other day he was jumping for food and it all happened so quick. oh right, yeah I don't think you mentioned good age though! good to know it's helped you, it's worth stocking up on treatments to diseases that kill quickly incase you can't get them in time :) sorry to hear about your puffer, those worms were weird!

  • @TheRossiboy Those worms were weird as hell, I found out that they were a type of Nematode. Yeah, I plan on stocking up on medicines, are you gonna get another Beta?

  • thats a bitch man that was one nice betta u had there , iv lost many a betta and it kills u man sorry to hear that man , ow and yeah i finaly dirted my 15 gallon and it looking awesome , i did get rid of alot of the plants mainly the anubias nana coz most of it died but it still looks good little empty with the plants but it will grown and fill out the tank when i have all my fish in there and it clears up il post a vid , and sorry to hear about the betta

  • @AwesomeAssassin1000 thanks a lot...sounds great be sure to make an upload, maybee get some stem plants to absorb some of those excess nutrients to prevent algae...you can use things like ludwigia, elodia, rotala and cambomba...they're usually inexpensive and grow fast in soil

  • Tanks looking good.Sorry about your betta. what are you going to get now

  • @FishAreBeast Thanks...probably another male betta but I'm quite interested in killifish, I'll have to research tank sizes though :)

  • aw soz about your betta :( looking forward to the new fish :)

  • @tomrocks961 thanks a lot I appreciate it...I'll probably just get another betta, try and find a rare or good looking one to take his place :)

  • @TheRossiboy sounds good :)

  • first! btw nice vid

  • @BlindTurtles thanks
