Most people commenting these videos in YouTube would've travelled in 2nd or 3rd class, and I'm quite sure that the modern cruise ships offer much more for us "poor" than the old liners which were basically meant for travelling from place A to place B just like airplanes today. They were not cruise ships.

Wow thats a huge ship...holy shit. The only thing i don't like about it, is that it cost 1.5 billion dollars and with the decline in cruises (mostly because of bankruptcy and accidents) I really dont see a reason for a ship like this. Its economically inefficient.

Besides that, everything on that ship is everything in itself of what is inland. When i go out on a boat i like to fish, tube, ski and wakeboard.

The center of gravity is relatively low because of main engines, propulsion machinery, fuel oil tanks, freshwater tanks etc. below the waterline and the fact that there are large open areas in the superstructure (mainly the central park thing). It may look top heavy, but in reality it's not.

Also, when the ship lists, the center of buoyancy moves and results in a righting moment that keeps the ship from capsizing.
