I saw 396 Chevelles and other 60's muscle cars get embarrassed by GN's at the street races in Austin back in the late 80's and early 90's. I admire some of the modern import turbo wonder cars like the WRX STi, but the kids today should take heed and be very leery of any GN they encounter. They're still out there. I saw a real nice one yesterday as I was driving my 2002 Mustang GT; I didn't race it.

actually the chip, all the GNXs' power is basically chip based, u can duplicate the GNX power in a standard GN with the chip change alone. of course upgrade the turbo, add a cat back exhaust and watch all the competition disappear in ur rearview mirror!

Having owned 3 Grand Nationals, 17 Corvettes and to many other Muscles Cars to list at once, the Grand National ranks towards the very top, without a doubt. Its an incredible Muscle Car in so many ways. Buick should have carried on 2 more years with more turbo/intercooler development based on the GNX platform. Long Live the Grand National.

I stand corrected but My 84 capri rs took a 78 vette to the cleaner 2 barrel carb and all. also maney comaro's redlight to redlight and a 69 cuda all the help it had was aftermarket serpinteen pully setup and the opption high gears toped at 140 befor I started to pull the vette he told Me the speed cause My speedo only went to 85

please dont ever confuse the typhoon and syclone motors with the GN motor, two COMPLETELY different drive trains front to rear. buick used a 3.8 intercooled and GMC used a 90 degree 4.3 with a water aftercooler. like comparing a vette to a mustang

I found a bunch in the GN registry, TurboBuick message boards, GNTType.org, Google Images, eBay, CarDomain etc; I hope you don't have a problem with your pictures being in my video. The typhoon and the syclone do NOT have the same motor. I should know, I own a typhoon and a grand national. They have completely different transmissions and drive trains. The typhoon is all wheel drive, the grand national is rear wheel drive. Check your facts before you post please!
