i agree but i think you forgot the V12 used in Formnula 1 and you forgot the Ferrari V6 engine used in the Lancia Stratos rally car.

  • the one dislike vote.....someone kill that guy! He should be drunk...

  • I was there. It was truly amazing to watch. No such thing as health & safety then, so you just tried to avoid the cars as best you could. The cars also appeared to race from venue to venue on the highways too.

  • Absolutely wonderful video, i have a 1985 ur quattro which is mint, my wife said that i think more of the car than i do her, i replied no, i think more of the dog than i do you...

  • still thinking about to buy an S2 with RS2 step... hmm...

  • This is so great.Absolutely love how you've incorporated the sounds of the spectators, almost makes it seem as though one is there watching the rally.Once again, fantastic.

Isnt that 20 valves, the evolution 2 model with wings and older ones were 10v with less horse power thus different sound.

  • böse möse

  • b group monster.

  • Imádom ezt az autót, szerintem még ma is verné a mezőnyt ^^ .

  • @PantheraLeo205 sry, V8?

  • i thank the AUDI S1 with 2.2 eng 20v not 2.3 10v

  • i own a 1984 wr alpine white audi quattro. in need of serious restoration...its the 10valve engine that does it for me..the 20valve is great for power..but the 10 valves noise is immense.

  • Audi quattro didn`t use the hansbrake?

  • @Entresolsticios

No , they use leftfootbraking and other tricks to get the car spinning . in very sharp corners on asphalt they are not as fast as rwd cars , but on the rest of the road !

  • Yeah

  • I'm not sure if they were actualy able to use handbrake. You see, center differential must be open while pulling the handbrake, otherwise the handbrake would work on all 4 wheels rather than the rear ones. From what I know, they didn't have 1way LSD between axles so the center diff remained locked even when the trottle was not applied.

  • IN LOVING MEMORY!!!! :-((

  • god i miss tha car.

  • @dinniwell999 "eifel rally audi" , just check it out on youtube

  • @dinniwell999 I miss Group B!!!!!

  • @dinniwell999 I miss Group B!

  • Just amazing!

  • Thanks for good vid with wonderful music:-)

  • I have a 1995 S6 ungoverned to 150 MPH.

    Box stock with 192,000 miles.

VERY well developed engine...doesn't even drip any oil.

Love the engine sound, plus it is a very fast luxury car.

  • GODfather0815, to many many thanks to for these wonderful videos.

  • It's a shame they stopped producing these engines. I have an Audi 90 2.3E myself, and sure, it doesn't even come close to this beast, but with sports mufflers it sounds low and brutal, and thats with 136hp. They're thirsty though!

  • Cool! I have a 93' Audi 80 with the same engine, the 2.3E NG. I'm in love with it's sound =)

  • I had an Audi 90 20V myself. With a huge hole in the muffler the sound was just wicked. Fuel economy and torque was not the best though. My sister still got the 2.3 with 133 HP. That one was actually not bad at all (outdated now of course). The torque is a problem of the 20V without the turbo. The 5 pot sound is simply one of the best. S1 and IMSA are the meanest!
