Omg I did hacking on my Wii but i messed up and it froze so I took of the power cord thing and I plugged it back in it won't show the power light so I got the SD cars and deleted the hacking devices and put it back in my Wii and I set it up and tried again and it worked I was frekin scared cuz I only had mine not even a month

@hardcoregamer718 i don't hack mine but i repair it when it needs to be and i repaired red ring of death on my friends xbox and it wasn't that hard just had to get a stronger metal plate cause the other one was searing hot and i couldn't touch it had to put it in ice cold water for five minutes with pliers then i got steel binded to aluminum for the plate and she said that it's good as new

Check the vents on the back and side of the Wii for dust build up. The system will shut down if it cannot vent properly to prevent overheating. If there is a build-up, remove it using a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment. Your idea didn't work but will in most cases... I had to vacuum even though I didn't see any dust in rear of my system so if you still have problem after taking out the plug use a vac :)

You have to make sure you are actually using a surge protector and not just a power strip. A surge protector will have a reset button on it.
