nice dragonfish at 19 to 1:10 i have one and i bought it from walmart not petsmart it died tho it got weak because i read tht they got seeing problems because of there eyes after he got weak he got suck onto the filter and he couldnt get off and i felt bad ....but nice dragonfish
@dmgamma This is an old ass video. No longer have those fish. And that tank, which is 29 gallons, is now used as a tank for my 2 axolotls which I also have videos of. :)
Hi there. My senegalus is about 2-3 inches long. I i bought it freeze dried blood worms but I've never seen it eat them. I feed it small worms, but most of the time it seems the worm is too big for my senegalus to swallow and it doesn't have the teeth to chomp the worm into bite size pieces. What do you suppose I should do to feed it and make sure it's getting everything it needs? Also, mine likes to hang out near the top laying on some patches of plant leaves. I wonder if that's normal.
yea i figured so i have a 7 inch senegal bichir like yours he eats anything that will fit in his mouth execpt my raphael cat who is under and inch lol i guess his spiny skin is to much for my bichir
Niiice, haha. I'm thinking about getting a Bichir again, I miss my old one and now I have a fully established 55 gallon tank, I think he would be happy in. :)
I have a 30gal with a 2" Senegal Bichir, about a 6-7" Dragon Goby, 3 Emerald Cory Catfish, and a breeding population of 8 guppies.
The goby seems to like "Oscar Show" pellets, and the bottom layer of old food from in between rocks. He picks them up one by one and moves them around like a wierdo. The senegal seems to like the pellets too, occasionally a small guppy, and even flakes sometimes.
Haha, nice! I actually only have the catfish now, and I use the 29 gallon for axolotls now. :P
My Bichir ended up getting up to about 6 inches, then I accidentally killed it when I was moving it to a 55 gallon. :( I was pretty sad. I forgot to treat the water. I had spent like 8 hours building a stand and setting the tank up and filling it with water, that I completely forgot to treat it. I realized it about 2 minutes after I put the fish in and I put them back in the old tank. Still died.
@TheForkin It's a Dragon Goby, aka the Violet Goby. Really cool fish. :) But you have to feed them really small foods, because they have small throats.
Yeah, I had him in a ten gallon for about a month, then I got the 29 gallon last weekend, I'll be updating again in the future, it's just a matter of space and money for a larger tank. :D

is your goby in freshwater? if so hows it thriving i was thinkin bout gettin one myself
DreCargill93 2 years ago
It thrived for a short while, but it ended up dying. I wouldn't suggest it for freshwater any longer.

Your such a copy cat.
Except you've had yours longer.

feed them frozen bloodworms or live ones they will be more happy
Metalluciifer666 2 years ago
I tried, and they didn't like them.
warpedmind41 2 years ago
yo what different foods do u feed it or do u only feed it 1 type of food?
captainpato11 2 years ago
which fish?
The Bichir will sometimes eat TetraMin granules. But he usually just eats these sinking shrimp pellets, made by OmegaOne.
My Goby on the other hand almost only eats the TetraMin granules, however, I have seen him munch on a small piece of an algae disk.
