i love this so much however i think youve got the angle of the legs a little wrong becase it looks like her torso is facing the side but her legs are stright forward :/
It's awesome work! I want to learn digital painting to you! But, I have a question. How do you effect about 2:34? Sorry for my English, I hope you understand me... Thanks in advance!
@tentyhime I think I understand! Thank you very much! :D You're a very helpful person!!!!! Oh and by the way, don't think I'm a stalker now for subscribing you and watching you on DA :F I just really love your artwork!
Woah, that looks beautiful! I'm actually in the same contest! I hope you win though! This is truly amazing! Although I have a question. For the lineart, what size brush do you use? And how big is the canvas? I love how thin your lineart is! And how crisp and clear it is!
@purplishvoice Agreed, a much asked question that is never answered without the usual cliche'd answers. Beginner digital artist myself and i still ask these questions >_<
@purplishvoice Actually, for me, though light source is really important it's more about colour theory.
You can never imitate real life perfectly, and if you could, it would be a photo c:
What I worry about is selecting a side for my light - up, down, left or right. Then I follow that. But, I think about my colours mixing and what they will look like. It's not really a first come, first right answer, as you see in the video, ha ha. You've got to play with your colours.

I want to ask how did you just trace the color to make it fill by itself?
lilyevelyn17 2 months ago
@lilyevelyn17 It's basically just going beside the line art to patch any holes in it, then I just use the fill tool and block it in.

mothmos 3 months ago
@mothmos Uhm it hoenstly depends on what I am shading. Generally, I use the marker tool with about 30-80% opacity.

how did you color the background without affecting luka?
Erikax23 5 months ago
@Erikax23 It's all about how you place your layers.
Everything in the background is under the colour layers and line art layers,
that way they can't mix.

crosslove24 5 months ago
@crosslove24 Awwe, thank you!
For the line art, I use the brush tool, and it varies from size 1 - 8.
The closer my lines are to the "camera", if that makes sense, the thicker they'll be.
The canvas is usually about 3000 x 2000 at least, then I resize later.

Hmm... questions huh... What rules do you follow when you do digital art? Any tips? (ModelAnswer: PRACTICE:D)
How do you know where to shade? O_o People always answer with the typical "know your light source!", but... so what if I knew...? OO
purplishvoice 5 months ago
@purplishvoice Agreed, a much asked question that is never answered without the usual cliche'd answers. Beginner digital artist myself and i still ask these questions >_<

tentyhime 5 months ago
@purplishvoice Like, say when I was doing the grey, don't just use gray - I threw some yellow and purple in there.
Put colours in it that you'd find unexpected. Also, layering different textures and shades helps to indicate depth in your colouring.
As for the shading, look at references. You can't get it perfect, so just feel it out. If it looks wrong take it out, ha ha.
Also, less is more when it comes to shading c: I'm still learning that.
tentyhime 5 months ago
Of course! It's plenty of good! This is so helpful and I hope you will make more!
