I was in the UMWA. We struck for 111 days for a 50 cent on the hour raise. The BCOA offered us generous COLA's, but the union turned them down flat. Sheer stupidity. We never made the money back that we lost. The union was constantly making "out of contract" deals with the company too. I worked there for over 15 years and can guarantee that I never brought home a full paycheck because of wildcat strikes. The union killed my hometown. The company shut our mine down to import coal from Columbia.

GM didn't kill the electric car. They didn't have to because the first electric car weight 3000lbs and had a range of 18 miles at 37mph. Today, EPA regs and the mindless liberal enviros won't allow us to process lithium phosphate here in the U.S. for making the latest advanced, lightwieght batteries. Obama wanted them bailed out to save the union contracts. If they'd done bankruptcy properly, the union contracts would have been scraped. As it is now, the union contracts are still in place, the union now owns a high percentage of corporate stock (which is INSANE) AND they were given preferential treatment over the bondholders which is ILLEGAL!

The Obama administration bailed out General Motors to give the union a bigger slice of the pie. The union was the problem to begin with. Unions drive prices up, kill businesses and force them offshore. Now you'll see the price of automobiles go through the roof. I'm a former union member and I watched the union destroy my home town. It forced the company to move to Columbia for lower labor costs.

I was in the UMWA. We struck for 111 days for a 50 cent on the hour raise. The BCOA offered us generous COLA's, but the union turned them down flat. Sheer stupidity. We never made the money back that we lost. The union was constantly making "out of contract" deals with the company too. I worked there for over 15 years and can guarantee that I never brought home a full paycheck because of wildcat strikes. The union killed my hometown. The company shut our mine down to import coal from Columbia.

Hey all of you Michael Jackson fans, I know for a fact that Michael Jackson always slept with little boys every chance he got. Which made him a PEDOPHILE. I'm an out of work auto parts buyer and have been looking for work since Feb. EVERY job posting for auto related buyers requires experience with sourcing to LCC.s (low cost countries), i.e China, India, etc. Mexico isn't even considered an LCC any more... too expensive! Source work to American companies? NOT!!!
