WTF i wrong with you guys? Ken Block is just trying to compete in the WRC. Last time i've seen him in an interview he said "I'm not even close to a stage win. Maybe in like 10 years." He never said "I'M GONNA RULE THE WORLD BECAUSE I CAN TURN LEFT AND RIGHT". So what if he has garnered a little more attention than the rest? huh? Grow up and show so human decency for someone who is actually trying to better his driving skills....
Rally is not for Americans. I get angry everytime I see his Monster car and his face.
WRC is not what it used to be anymore but I hope it will never be some fu.cking show in stadium with fireworks like X games. It really grinds my gears.
@tnsprtfaQ What do you expect from NASCAR country? Honestly, I like Block as a driver but, the way he does things and "Americanizes" things is quite bothersome. As long as his sphere of influence doesn't bother the actual layout of the WRC or a majority of the field, Ken shouldn't be a problem. I just wish he would act a little more professional...That's all i ask out of him.
@tnsprtfaQ Honestly it's also quite far from the truth to say that rallying is or isn't a sport for a certain country. I'm sure Rallying wasn't the sport for Scotland until McRae.
But ultimately I agree with you, I prefer a proper staged rally versus the Rally Cross stuff, but there is still a place for it.
I also don't understand all the Ken Block hate. He never claimed to be at the same level as Loeb or the other top WRC guys, he just says that he feels honored to be there. Nobody can deny that the guy loves to drive and is at least good enough to make a career out of it. So is he supposed to turn down the offer?

I take it seriously because I love the sport. It annoys me how much coverage Block gets compared to the real talent of Loeb, Hirvonen, Sordo, Latvala. (Not just in america, I bet if you asked a random person in the street who Ken Block is, I bet most would answer correctly. Ask who Sebastian Loeb is, and you will get puzzled faces.)
Continued - - - - I know Americans can tend to forget that there is a world outside the United States,and I know that 99% of Americans think that Ken Block is a driving god or something. Im just looking forward to the moment when they see what driving talent is, and its takes a lot more than doing a distance jump in a safe controlled environment ;)

Yea thank you!! Exactly my point! I bet more than 20% have heard of Ken Block. Which means that the drivers of greater skill, the drivers who deserve the coverage more, get less. So I'm hoping that when Loeb, Sordo, Hirvonen and Latvala destroy Ken Block, I hope America will see what true talent is, and they will get the coverage they deserve and need. :) I have no idea what "Trolling" is but you have probably used it as an insult because you dont like my oppinion.

Rally Cross wasnt invented by Americans.
