If u looked at a map u would notice that Liverpool isnt far from Manchester about 35 mins away by car and train both in the North west thats why the accents sound simliar.

That is because many of the Actors in Coronation Street are not From Manchester, they come from towns such as Bury, Bolton and Rochdale where they speak with a Lancashire accent, not a Manchester one :)

Thats a Manc accent allright, but a very soft one. To hear a proper Manc accent you want to speak to People from Collyhurst or Harpurhey and around them areas.

The Salford is slightly different from the Manchester accent, it is not as nasally as the Manc one, but still is strong.
