omg i miss forest city and florance! so much!! i moved to colorado 2years ago! i miss the xmas time there.. its way better there from a big city colorado springs. No room for xmas stuf!!
I moved to Forest City about 5 years ago from southern California, the Riverside area. Riverside has the Mission Inn and spends millions of dollars yearly to decorate their downtown and its lovely, but it doesn't compare to the lights of Forest City's Main Street. This is the best Christmas display I have ever seen, and the fact that it represents a true small town in America makes it even better. The Forest City lights are worth seeing if you're ever in western NC..you'd never regret the drive.

Looks like Main from just before Elizabeth Avenue (at First Methodist) to the Vance St. intersection to me...nice to see the ol' hometown.
