  • I come back and watch this one about once a month good song and the groove you setup on the trigger kit is really good stuff.

  • @72uServerRack Thanks a bunch, glad you like it. I appreciate the feedback!

  • The Rippingtons are using this video on their Facebook Page for the title "Black Diamond", in their video collection. Now there's a plug !

  • @johnjnesbit I think that Facebook puts that stuff there for them, but maybe not. Either way, thanks for the tip!

  • Very nice man! In my opinion, however, I feel that the rim effect on your snare doesn't really fit your groove in this piece. Just saying, but good job!

  • @2ndGenBuck agree

  • this band is soo fucking awesome

    nice joob dude

  • the floor tom is known as a timpani, not an explosion. :D

  • It is some kind of special effect, not a timpani though. Bad YouTube audio makes it a bit hard to hear, but it's far from a timpani in reality.

  • Its SEX music.lol.. I bang my g/f to shit like this lol..

  • Hey where do you get tunes like this to jam to while you're drumming? Thanks

  • I am definitely not using my TD-10 to that degree. I think it's time I learn. Nice job.

  • very tight beats dude

  • great use of the secondary rim sounds, they add so much to the beat

  • Exelente,sin nada de mas,justo,claro.Mis felicitaciones

  • this is who i want to be when i grow up

  • Martin you gave an awesome performance on this tune. It's very inspiring. Great job!

  • way cool man!!! that was insane... your technique is like flawless

  • nice job man-thats one of my fav Ripp songs

  • COOL -I have the TD-67 I think I'll program some wierd drum kit - never really experimented with making my own kits. So many choices. Another thing which is fun is to connect your module to an effects pedal - Zoom makes a good pedal with 40 effects.

  • AWESOME Martin...

  • cool~~~

  • wow man, this was totally awesome. go jazz!

  • sounded like hip-hop

  • sweet...but crank the volume a bit.

  • I love The Rippingtons and I think you are wonderful ..... well done Martin

  • I've been watching your clips and they are all amazing. I love the high hat going all the time and those two triangles. Great work once again. I hope you do this as a career.

  • Absolutely amazing! The Rippingtons are great! Russ Freeman Rocks!

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool man, i underestimated electric kits.

    nice job.

  • As everyone else say.... BRAVO!

    Awesome.

Where do you find play alongs you play on? I'd like having some for me. Thank you and see you soon.

  • I'm also interested in play along tracks for groups like The Rippingtons. Please let us know. Awesome playing! I like the kit you set-up to play to this track, too.

  • To put it simply, Awesome! Martin you're excellent, nice work.

  • great job again.. love all your videos and the sounds you assign to the pads.. fit the music great!

  • Thank you!

  • You've got some excellent chops man - well done! And I'm a Ripps fan. Well done!

  • awesome, very nice music with it

  • Terrific drumming. I have my eye on a Roland TD-12. Are you left-handed? (I ask because you don't cross-over when playing the high-hat and snare.)

  • I LOVE U DRUMMER LOL

  • Sweet grooves, man. The ripps really are a good way to get enthused about music =)

  • which kit is that?

  • It sounds very "Miami Vice"ish, I like it.

  • Nice job. I enjoy watching. Please keep on jammin and posting more! Thanks

  • Once again, I have to pick my jaw up off the floor. You have such a great, fluid style (I said that before about one of your other videos, sorry!) and I can't believe your mad skillz! Now, of course, I'm gonna have to check ALL your vids! I have no life...LOL

  • Another great tune man! Great grooves and transitions... very impressed with the hi-hat work, very tight. Keep it up! You've inspired me to break into odd times with my V-kit. Great stuff!!

  • Where this soundtrack came from ?

I wish i have this soundtrack to do the same on my VDrum...

  • As the title says, it's a song called Black Diamond by The Rippingtons. I EQ out most of the existing drums and when I record over it and bump my drums up in the mix, it completely masks it.

  • Where can I ontain a set of electric drums like you are playing? I haven't played in over 30 years, but you have given me the final kick in the ass that I needed to get in gear and try again! Keep up the great work! Thanks, I really enjoyed your composition and style!

  • Thank you! Mine is a Roland TD-10 V-Drums Pro kit. It's 7 years old now. New ones use a TD-20 brain.
