As long as your capo holds down all your strings at a particular fret, its good enough.

A guitar player is not yet a guitar player if he ain't got a capo.

LOL, It's not really necessary to have a capo. It depends on the song the guitar player plays. I'm a guitar player and my capo is broken but many says its fine :)

person under me, you should go out and get a beginners guitar book because it will have the names of the strings and the main chords and notes and stuff. really all it takes is knowing chords and the strings and then you'll gradually learn the notes and stuff through songs that you learn.
