How do you spend life plus 50 years in prison? thats doenst make sense! It's already life.

@Biancajjsidney, The plus 50 years is added on in case the person has a heart attack or something similar and is dead for a few minutes or so in prison and brought back to life by CPR or by a doctor. The prisoner could then say I was sentenced to life,I died and was brought back to life and this is my second life so I should be set free as I was sentenced to life,died and came back to life. They also do this in case a prisoner survives a lethal injection,or a botched lethal injection happens.
